I have been a patient of Dr. McCarthy for approximately 2 years and I have been treated for many different procedures. On my initial visit, the doctor welcomed me and spent time to discuss the condition of my mouth. She was the only dentist who has ever explained to me how and why the tartar affects my health, not just my teeth. In the past, I used to always have cavities, but since getting control of the plaque, my mouth feels healthy and I don't get decay or bleeding painful gums anymore. Her staff is friendly and the hygienist is gentle. I am also impressed that the doctor always performs a thorough oral cancer check. I find the copays are very reasonable and the quality of care outstanding.

I went there for two years. At first, I was somewhat intimidated, given my plaque buildup. Dr. McCarthy and team were kind, and helped me...at first. Once my teeth were cleaned of plaque, I felt ripped off on subsequent visits, as Dr. McCarthey insisted that I had a "lifelong" disease, and charged me exorbitant amounts with each visit -- never once informing me what she was doing or inquiring if I was OK with the costs that would follow. I have since stopped going to Dr. McCarthey and have regularly visited two dentists -- neither of whom reported that I had any sort of "lifelong" disease. In fact, my out-of-pocket costs since visiting Dr. McCarthey have been zero -- not a penny.

Either she performed a miracle during my last visit, or she took advantage of my first visit. You be the judge.

When I compare Doctor McCarthy to the dentists I have been to in the past, I am so grateful to have her as my dentist. She is so gentle and the office itself is so modern and yet very casual and friendly. Her staff is incredibly helpful and I always have a very nice visit. I have had extensive work done and have found it very affordable and also I know that she uses the best quality materials- I asked- made in the USA!!!!!!
