UPDATE: I took my daughter to my dentist this morning, she did great! They didn't have to use Novocaine. See, I knew it! Always go with your maternal instinct ladies! They would have shot my baby up with that big old needle for nothing! I am so glad we left. Be careful about who you choose to work on your teeth, going to the dentist should be enjoyable because you get to leave with a nice big clean smile....unless, of course, the dentist makes you mad and in that case you wouldn't be smiling anymore. :D

I have never written a review before but my experience at Seneca Family Dental was so bad I thought I should warn anybody who is thinking about going there. I brought my 4 year old there for a cleaning, I had a weird feeling that day but other than that everything went ok...except my daughter had a cavity. (they said she has "cavity prone teeth" because her grooves are so deep, I guess) I tried to ask the lady cleaning her teeth if it was small enough to do it without Novocaine but she couldn't answer me because the dentist (SHE) had already left. So anyway, we went back today to get it filled and they called her in right away, so fast I actually I hadn't even taken her jacket off yet. I was planning on going back with her, so I went too. When we got back there the dentist told me to go back out into the waiting room. Before I went out I asked her if the cavity was small enough to do it without Novocaine and she basically said they were going to use it because the drill hurts and that's how kids get dentist phobias. I replied, "well that needle hurts too & I don't like Novocaine so I just wanted to ask." (I never get Novocaine if I don't need to, in my opinion it hurts worse) She then said I was installing fear into my child by telling her this. (which, by the way I never told her anything really because I didn't know what was going to happen when we went there and she couldn't hear us talking either) so I went back out into the waiting room feeling very uncomfortable. After about a minute I told the lady behind the counter that I really wanted to go back there just to keep her comfortable, she said there wasn't enough space. Just then I heard my child crying and screaming so I ran back there. Dr.Dabir told me I couldn't just go back there and that kids do better without their parents back there. Well I wasn't leaving so they said I could stand in the corner, they wouldn't even let me hold her hand, that was still in her gloves and her winter jacket was still on too even though before I went back out into the waiting room the first time I said, "but her jacket is still on." meaning if you're gonna kick me out at least take her jacket off. She was crying so hard that she was choking on her spit, coughing and gagging, they didn't even stop for a second to calm her down and talk to her, I thought she was crying because of the Novocaine but then Dr.Dabir grabbed the syringe full of it and I realized she hadn't even done it yet so I said, "were outta here, lets go!" then the dentist says, "We're not going to do it, we can't do it with her kicking and screaming like this." (even though she wasn't kicking or screaming she was hysterically crying at this point) She was scared, she isn't a cry baby, she doesn't even care about getting shots at the Dr.'s. The whole time this was happening I was trying to calm my daughter down telling her it was ok and she was fine, just to calm down, Mommy is here and the dentist is telling me that I should have stayed in the waiting room and I should have trust in the Doctors. Personally, I think trust is earned and that is my daughters mouth she was going to work on, I felt I had already trusted her enough to go there in the first place. I tried to find reviews before hand and all I could find were these six. Which, I kind of think are fake anyway considering one of them keeps calling the Dentist a HE and I am pretty sure there is just one dentist there and she is a SHE. Plus another review said it was really clean and it was NOT! I was actually thinking that the first time I went. (that that person in the review was full of crap) The carpets in the waiting room were disgusting, they looked like horses had been walking on them and the pictures on the walls looked like they were in dollar store frames. LONG STORY SHORT: I WOULD RATHER PAY OUT OF POCKET AND GO TO MY DENTIST THAT DOESN'T TAKE HER INSURANCE THAN GO THERE FOR FREE!!!!

Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. They were easy to reach in an emergency. When I called they answered right away and I was so relieved to hear a friendly voice. They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed. I love that they are always more than happy to answer my questions, and actually welcome questions. I've felt awkward at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here. It's really important to me to have a comfortable chair to sit in during my dental procedure, and their chairs were very comfortable. It was nice to be able to be comfortable during my entire procedure.

My experience with Dr. Dabir was very good i am so pleased to find a dentist where everyone is very friendly and caring i really look forward to going to the dentist .
He will discuss what he is doing and how it will be done. if you feel any pain he will stop and fix the problem.I would really like to see more dentists that are as good as he is or at least willing to try and not just see you as dollar signs and run you through like cattle....if there was a place for 6 stars he would get all six from me..
