WORST Dentist EVER. BEWARE! Lies to patients telling them they need extensive dental procedures when they don't. THIS GUY'S A FRAUD. Tried to perform surgery on my gums, telling me I had Periodontal Disease and he needed to cut up my gums and stitch them back together?! Tried to talk me into a very pricey payment plan to pay out of pocket because no insurance covered. Then gave me free books to try and build trust and make himself look good. Went for a second opinion and had nothing wrong with my gums or mouth! WOW! People like this should be thrown in jail. STAY CLEAR!!!

Dr Kaplan does have his mannerisms that can sometimes be tough. His is through and does find things to fix in your mouth always, however I had gone to the office, got annoyed left and went to another dentist for 6 years and they never found anything wrong. Did one cap it was terrible, so I went back to dr Kaplan and found out that those 6 years cost me. His staff is exceptional and I get the best cleaning there ever. You pay for what you get.

I love this office. The service is phenomenal! Unfortunately I have medicaid and can't go there and I can't afford to pay out of pocket for the work.

Dr. Kaplan is amazing. He made me very comfortable. U would highly recommend his office.

Groupon Bait and Switch. I waited until after a second opinion to post this to be fair and so disappointed my experience at this location.
I took part in a groupon for xrays, cleaning and exam for $35. I should have known the price was too good to be true. I was surprised to get a call the next morning after buying the groupon asking me to come down within an hour. I should have suspected something when the they would not commit to doing a cleaning . Fair enough. I drove 45 minutes and the office was slick. Everyone is friendly and the layout seemed progressive. IT was a bit odd they show me a "consultation room" They did xrays first then some cameras on a LCD screen showing some blood which later you will see is odd. You meet the doctor and he gives you a book called THE DASH and tries to get personal asking about your life and "do you like your smile?" Then Kaplan states they will do a depth test and the hygienist, not himself , will recommend what "treatment is required. Is that not the dentist's job to make the final call? OK still playing along, they explain what will happen and I listen to the numbers. I had 1s 2s 3s and a few 4s for the depth. I am then shown a video on periodontal disease and brought into that consultation room. I meet Kaplan and another lady and the doctor asks if I have any questions medically. He leaves the room and she shows me $1000 treatment that must be done with 3 visits and THEN and only then they will do a cleaning. I refuse their offer and she jumps up to get the doctor who comes in and tries to scare me. "I will not do a surface cleaning. That is not fixing your problem. We have to get the infection and pus out." Wait I a say, I have PUS ? He says Huh? I said you said pus you now say there is pus?" ANd he backs up and says "Well I do not know what is there. If people want to to ignore me and come back later for a root canal, I will still do it. You have a problem. No , your teeth are not going to fall out. But you need this. " I ask for the surface cleaning stating he did not have to do it as the groupon states if he finds ANY periodontal issues, he does not have to do the cleaning, I ask for the cleaning rather than let me leave with tarter which I did have and he said no and then a bit upset said he would send the xrays to any other dentist. So that is what I did, I called someone local to me that I had not been in seven years. They did send the digital rays but not the panoramic which my dentist stated is not needed unless having an issue so I got extra radiation.
. One week later I went for my appointment at the local dentist and there was zero blood even after blasting the tarter off. There was normal bone loss for my age , another thing that Kaplan was trying to scare me on. It was all one big bate and switch with the groupon. The second dentist said I do not have an issue that would need $1000 of treatment, did not see blood on the gauze, and thought for as many years I was last in for a cleaning, that he was surprised how good my teeth where . All I did in the week in between, since Kaplan made me concerned was start water picking and using a whitening tooth paste with sonicare. (which they did not care for as much as the tooth brush they sell.) There is no way I could have turned things around in a week so I really trust NOT dental2000nj. I wonder how many fall for such tactics.

I went to Dental 2000 for a regular checkup and was amazed by the expertise of their staff. The environment in the office is very friendly and everyone seems to work like a team. After they took my x-ray, I was being diagnosed with severe gingivitis and was being advised to get deep cleaning to begin with. I agreed and I will have to say that they took their time in treating me and didn't rush, which to me was the most appreciative part of my experience with them. Overall, I had a great experience with Dental 2000 and will highly recommend to my family and friends.

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. It was pretty hard to find the building, but I eventually found it. If I couldn't find anyone better, I'd return again, but I'm hoping I can find better service somewhere else.
I found the head dentist/owner of the facility to be very pushy and he seemed to like to lecture a lot instead of listen. He cut me off numerous times when I spoke and I thought he was very rude. People save your money, do NOT visit this place! Plus, they charge you extra for all of the extra necessities like heated pillows that insurance will not cover...just CLEAN my teeth!
