I am a dental laboratory technician and have had the opportunity to work with Dr. David Ernst. After a year I am still waiting to be paid for the work I have done. I have put this in the hands of a collection agency and a warning to all dental laboratories that he does not pay his bills.

I have been going to Dr. Ernst for about 7 years, since I have moved to this area of NJ. My teeth are good, so I mainly have gone to him for cleanings (though he has filled a cavity or two). About half the time the denist does the cleaning, but sometimes a hygenist performs the cleaning. I go early in the morning, and never have waited more then 5 or 10 minutes. Most of the time you think about is teeth when you go to a dentist, but he does a rather through check of your mouth (VERY IMPORTANT). He found a growth a few years ago on my deep in the back parts of my tongue which he quickly referred me to a oral surgeon, who removed it. Not the most modern of offices, but I do feel very comfortable with the attention and knowledge the friendly staff has.

I made an appt. with this dentist, and I didn’t get a confirmation call, so I HAD TO FOLLOW UP. When I asked why I didn’t get a call, she claimed they are ‘too busy’ to call to confirm appts. When I told her the day I had the appt she disagreed and told me a different date. I told her no, this is incorrect, and gave her the correct appt. She then confirmed that, and when I showed up that day the office was CLOSED!!! I was inconvenienced, I had to take off from work, and she was very rude about it blaming me saying that I had the wrong date.

p.s. the office is dirty.

Never! They have lots of business, but they do such a great job of never overbooking.
Did your mouth feel clean after your appointment?
Yes, my mouth felt clean after my appointment
Were you able to watch TV during your dental procedure?
Not at all. I was extremely bored the entire time
Was this provider willing to stay open late to accomodate your needs?
Sometimes, but most of the time they don't

Dr. Ernst collected some money up front for my treatment and disapperaed in the middle of it. Now I am left with an unfinished crown and almost $400 loss for no service. If there are other people in my situation, let's get together and take action against him.
