Medical necessity required that I have my remaining teeth removed before a surgical procedure. Upon my initial visit to the clinic in Jefferson City I was impressed by the friendliness of the "desk staff". It has been my experience that "Clinic" employees are less than...enthusiastic. I was signed in and within 15 minutes I was getting my x-rays and then taken to the chair and met Dr. Maddox. We discussed the work that she would be doing and the steps that she would take to make the process as seamless as possible. It required a total of 4 visits over 6 weeks and I have the one follow up remaining before I'm to be fitted with dentures. Each visit was as positive as the first. The doctor, the technicians, everything was as "good" as having your teeth extracted could be. I do not believe that my experience is unique. The area that the doctors work is not an office lay-out. The area is open and as such I was able to while not watch and listen to other doctor patient involvement I could observe the inter-action and I believe that every person in there was receiving the same "quality of care" that I was. The Jefferson City office of Community Health Center is a fine operation and if my other medical needs were not already being handled elsewhere I would not have hesitated to utilize their services.

In my experience Community Health Center is the most unprofessional doctor's office I've ever been to. Someone is usually eating while on the phone when I've made previous appointments. My appointments have been changed on me before without letting me know. My last experience was an appointment that was made by me then when I arrived (on time) they said I could not be seen, and that was after I drove an hour to get there and was reassured I would be seen there that day. I've given them several chances to keep me as a patient but my experiences have never improved. Awful awful place in my opinion and will definitely never be back to any of the CHC locations!

Never. I don't think they care about helping their clients save money

Yes everything was neat and sterile

Not at all, they always make an extra effort to make sure I'm comfortable
Was this provider argumentative or easily angered?
No, they were very calm and understanding

They were friendly and made me feel at home. When I told them about my situation, they were somewhat understanding, but they could have been more caring. They didn't try very hard to understand where I was coming from. AND this is not a free clinic.........they asked for $100.00 up front.........
