I appreciate the multiplidicinary team approach. I feel like Dr. Weintraub is very passionate about his work and the care of his patients. However, I feel he is dismissive of my concerns and questions. I also believe that he is unwilling to consider new or novel therapies. He also intimidates me.

Dr. Weintraub has experience and knowledge however his bedside manner is not desirable. Before he entered the room I heard the nurse say 'Melissa is ready for you' and heard him reply 'oh yes our train wreck'. That did not start off my visit well. I did not say anything to him about overhearing him. I was put off by his overall attitude towards me and my doctors at home. He stated 'you do not have narcolepsy you are just tired like every other American'. Well, falling asleep at the wheel of the car, at work, in public is not normal, even if not 'narcolepsy' I am not going to risk my life or the life of others by driving and falling asleep. I was not here for sleep issues but wanted to make sure all my current conditions were known. I was misdiagnosed with seizures in 2004 and his comment was 'well, let us see what else you have been misdiagnosed with including seizures and narcolepsy maybe you never had a dissection'. I called my neurologist back home who relieved my anxiety over this encounter because I was ready to leave after that visit.

He has been very attentive to my concerns and very quick to find solutions that work. My treatment has helped me go back to having a normal functioning life and was able to go back to school and not worry about my migraines interferring with it.

It is hard to communicate with Dr Weintraub. He does not listen to my concerns and he continually ignores the pain I am in.
