My family and I have been patients of Dr. Asha Laraway and Dr. Michael Laraway for 6 years. Their staff is very friendly and professional. Both doctors are very knowledgeable and professional, and they do a great job explaining what the problem is and how to fix it. It is evident that the patient's well being is their main concern. I am very impressed with their bedside manners, and the way they treat their patients, and I can't thank them enough for everything they do. They are amazing and incredible doctors!

My whole family got treatment here. I started it. I got a Groupon. I was very satisfied and then had all my children come here. It all sounded great. Free whitening treatment, free care for kids that didn't have insurance. What I didn't know was about the over treatment. What I mean by that is that they say you have a cavity or something and you really don't. I got another dentist to look at my kid and what the Laraway clinic said was a cavity really wasn't. I also got a second opinion on my own teeth and found out that I didn't need all my silver replaced. I have another situation when they said my little one had cavities and another dentist said that he didn't. The sealer for me was when I saw another dentist after the Laraway clinic. The tech was familiar to me. We talked and figured out that she once worked for the Larways. She was the one who cleaned my teeth there and was now at another place that I was getting my teeth cleaned. She shared with me that the reason she left was that she saw the laraway clinic telling people they needed things that they really didn't. They were in financial need to do such things. Not good practice. Not for dental.

There are so many WRONG things in Dr. Joanna and Michael Laraway's office that I will mention only a few.
She tries to appear caring and calm but it feels forced and acted.
I came in asking for a bridge 4 months before, She diverted me to a sleep study, TMJ disfunction treatment (useless and damaged my teeth), deep cleaning and gums measured, she wanted to do a snore guard that costs $2500,etc. Finally, four months later she said she will do the bridge on me. An appointment was set, I paid the cost, I come in and she INJECTS my mouth with Novocain and asks a while later if it was getting num, I said "yes", she says "I am ready for you". She steps out, comes back saying: "I won't do the bridge today because I need your gums to be measured first". (She did this already three months ago!) She told me to leave now and come back later. She seemed upset, she didn't say why.
At that point my mouth was really num, I had a hard time taking so I decided would not try to convince her to get inside my mouth that day in such a bad mood. One minute she was o.k. the next she became an angry crazy being. I felt afraid, she was really acting irrational.

She says his husband "looks dumb", whom I've seen hanging around with not much work to do, that is maybe why she pushes every time and for no reason root canals or implants that HE does of which he has no specialty. She wants him to do two zirconia implants on me which he has NEVER done before according to the dental assistant.
She refused to refund for undone work.
I wrote her twice giving her the opportunity to explaining herself. She never answer.
So if you need a generous, caring and professional dentist do not go to Dr. Joanna Laraway. This is NOT a peaceful and relaxed environment.
Can't help wondering,"If they had a good practice in Michigan, WHY move here to start all over again.

I hda an appointment for a routine cleaning. I didn't feel rushed at all. I was there for about one hour and my teeth looked great afterwards. Thank you.
