I brought in my elderly mother who is going blind. He had nothing to suggest, said he had no idea what the problem was, and just prescribed a new pair of glasses that really don't help her at all. Total waste of time.

I took my 4 year old son to see Dr. Aherne, since he seemed to be the only doctor in my plan that would see a child that age. i was very pleased at how well he worked with my son. I received a call a day after our appointment and Dr. Aherne stated he was not comfortable with his diagnosis and wanted my son to be seen by another associate. i'm so glad he made that call, we found out that my son was severely farsighted and needed glasses immediately. Dr. Aherne did not charge us for follow up visits or the visit to his associate. I would highly recommend him to anyone and am even switching to him myself.

My first visit to Dr. Aherne was Sept. 9, 2010. I found him through this website and was definitely cautious and not quite sure if I was going to get a good doctor. Well all my doubts were erased after my visit. I was most definitely in very capable hands. So much so, I've decided to finally leave the Lenscrafters brand so I can receive ophthalmological care as well as my optical needs.
