Do not take your kids to this clinic!!! My beautiful daughter had to go through a painful root canal because a routine filling wasn't done correctly there, she's losing the tooth now because the next Healthwave provider didn't do the root canal correctly. I'm just sick. Why can't kids from low income families get proper dental care? It would be better if these operations weren't in business.

My daughter who attends Washburn went to this place for a cleaning, when she made the appointment she checked to make sure they accepted Tri-Care. After they conducted all the necessary steps in the cleaning they informed my daughter that she needed sealants put on seven of her teeth. Be careful if you are using insurance to cover your procedures at this location because they like to throw little add-ons that are not covered by your insurance and do not tell you about it or discuss it with the patient. You would think before you perform a procedure on an individual they would let you know that your insurance will not cover this and you will be required to pay this fee, is this still something that you want us to do? We do recommend that you get sealant on these seven teeth. At no point in this conversation did they ever tell her that our insurance would not cover the sealants and we would be responsible to pay for this. They took it upon themselves to do this and then sent us a bill in the mail. In my opinion they took advantage of my daughter and the fact that we are stationed in Alaska and could not be with her for this appointment.

every time i go to this office, it smells of dirty diapers. i don't let me kids play with the toys there because they don't look like they're ever sanitized. i've had varied experience with the DAs. One was very friendly and the others were very short and borderline rude. i took mt daughter in for a check up and was told that she neede a crown and if i wanted her to have anything besides a local anesthetic, i had to pay an extra fee. at the following visit, i was told she neede a crown and the next thing i knew, they were jabbing my 5 year old in her mouth with a huge needle without even asking if i wanted her to have an anesthetic. i feel that they do unnecessary procedures to increase profits (medicaid fraud) and i feel it's a SHAME that they would prey on little children to make a buck. i'd like to say that i'll never take my kids back there but since no dentists in topeka take medicaid, i don't seemto have much choice...
