Dr. Mark Severtson and the advise he gave me about my condition and the stapendectomy recommended was very detrimental to my overall health. I had a moderate, 40%, hearing loss in my right ear. My hearing did improve when the with the stapes but this operation introduced a terrible condition into my life. Again a terrible condition ( horrible ringing 24x7x365 ) never stopping, and medically known as tinnitus. This ringing never existed for me prior to the operation. No ands ifs or buts this operation, caused this condition and changed my life for the worse. My recommendation to anyone if you have a hearing loss with no ringing / tinnitus, and a hearing aid will help go that route. Beware and suspicious of any advise directing to a stapendectomy.
