Dr. Ian Strun had done an extraction of a very painful tooth. I was amazed he had it out before I even realized he pulled it. He took his to make sure I was numbed well and did it so quickly I had to ask, "Is it out?" The total tooth came out no breakage. He has a beautiful laugh as well. I have recommended him to many people, and they are all happy with him as well. Prices are very reasonable. I never had a problem with the office people either.

horror...I got a 4 tooth bridge there, the left 2 teeth are bigger ..the bridge does not fit...it took 3 month after 6 impressions ..the first 3 could not be used...I called after a month to find out when the bridge was finished, he said to come in to do another impression...I will seek legal representation

There are several terrible reviews about this place which made me nervous about coming here, but I would like to share my experience with WFD. I had an old filling come out in the middle of the night and needed to see a dentist ASAP, as I didn't want to walk around with a giant hole in my front teeth. First of all, this place was the only dental place open after noon on a Friday. I called them and got a live person on the phone, not a recording. This was a major plus. Right after i made my appointment, I looked at their reviews here. They were terrible and I was nervous, but could not find another dentist to see me urgently on a Friday, so I kept my appointment. The office staff were a little weird and acted as if they had been hitting the nitrous tank throughout the day, and I became even more nervous. I finally got into an exam room with the dentist. He thoroughly and professionally fixed my missing filling and did an amazing job. It was a front tooth, like I said, so he basically had to reconstruct my whole tooth and make it aesthetically pleasing. He did just that. His personality was a little off and it was an awkward place to be, but he did a great job repairing my tooth when no one else would see me. Would I make this place my regular dentist? Probably not; it was weird that he didn't have an assistant or a hygienist, and I made sure to know what my insurance would cover before I had anything done, because I got a weird vibe from the ladies up front. That being said, if you have a dental emergency, especially a filling that has come out, Dr. Sturn will see you and do a great job at repairing it. The whole procedure took about 45 mins, including my wait time. So, not bad.

Avoid this place like the plague. I wondered when I left if Sturn is even qualified to practice dentistry. I came in with a new customer coupon and was placed in a room and not even greeted by staff. The doctor came in and said my xrays were not sent over from Coast dental. I told him I had the number in my phone if the office would like to call them and he didn't even acknowledge my statement (he didn't care). Then he started "cleaning" my mouth which was the most pathetic excuse for dental hygiene that I've ever encountered. He said they don't have hygienists (I guess they're broke). He didn't even bother to remove any tartar or even clean the top row of my teeth. After my 10 minute cleaning he didn't bother to say anything or suggest a follow-up appointment about the missing crown. What an incompetent and borderline racist provider. I would agree that the whole office must be family with their unprofessional mannerisms. The only people who would leave good reviews are employees (again, family) trying to offset all of the bad reviews they receive.

Dirty floors and no water in the water cooler...no soap in the bathrooms. Rude front office people. I am not going to refer my family and friends here. I just wasn't that impressed. I did not feel like the dentist was very competent...didn't explain much. I definitely had doubts about their qualifications. There was no evidence anywhere that he was a licensed dentist. . I have already warned everyone I know not to go here. Very unprofessional and rude. Dentist needed to shave and his shirt very wrinkled...He was in the front office a lot handling paperwork...seemed like all family members working there. See a different dentist unless you want a horrible experience. The only people I saw come and go were men. Prices lower but no confidence in his ability to do a good job.

I warn you this is a long review but it is worth the read if you plan on going here. If you value your teeth DO NOT GO HERE. I am not a type of person who writes bad reviews normally. However I felt I had to let people know. I know it may be cheap but as they say you get what you pay for. The website as well as the building says 2 dentists. My husband and I were here about 4 times in 3 weeks and only ever saw one. His name is Ian he just runs around like a chicken with his head cut off. It started on the first visit I went in to have a wisdom tooth pulled and my husband also for a reg tooth pulled. Well before we went in I mentioned the promo code for 20% off they have listed on website and they said ok. Well during my procedure he numbed me while in the middle of pulling wisdom tooth he had to numb again because I could feel pain. Well while waiting for the novicain to work he went to go deal with another patient which is understandable. Well he didn't think to give me gauze or anything he left me bleeding got blood on my shirt, and hands etc. I had to get up and spit the blood out. He came back and proceeded to pull the tooth now mind you a good dentist can have a wisdom tooth pulled in about 20 minutes if problems arise maybe about 45 minutes max. Well it took him about an hr and a half to pull my tooth. Well after he pretty much told me no smoking no drinking out of a straw for said amount of time. I have gotten wisdome teeth pulled before and I know they are supposed to give more information than that. So when we went to check out I asked what the after care information was the recieptionist pretty much told me the same thing no smoking no drinking out of a straw for so long. Ok I was confused. My husband said they advised him to have a root cancal instead of extraction as his problem tooth was in the front. Ok so he did and he said in the middle of the root canal the dentist kept leaving and walking out to do other things. Well we checked out went home and I realized that the promo code that I mentioned may not have been taken off. I called with no prevail they told me that I never mentioned it. I called again the next day and they told me they couldn't do anything because I wasn't in the office. The stitches the dr put in were disolving but they were gone within a day. Now mind you as I said they gave no aftercare instructions. I had major pain over the next week you call and call no answer when you leave a message they do not call back. I figure ok well my husband had to go back in the next week for the second part of his root canal I will talk to them then. Now with no after care instructions I couldn't figure out how to get the food out of the extraction site. I was using a Q tip. I called another dentist in my area who informed me I should have been provided with a serynge sry about spelling. Well it was a lot better after the other dentist informed me of this. A week later still having pain my husband had to go back in for second part of his root canal. I told them about my pain. They said they would see me. Well I also mentioned the promo code seeing as on the phone they said there was nothing they could do because I wasn't there. Well they informed me I failed to mention the promo code when we checked out. I said I mentioned it when we got there. I informed them they said ok and never mentioned that I had to tell them again before I left. I have a feeling this is because they know customers especially after having a wisdom tooth pulled would not have such a thing on their mind. Well he looked at my excision site and asked me if I was having certain symptoms which are symptoms of a dry socket. I informed the dentist I have had dry sockets before and it has never felt like this. He said ok let me check the x-rays and said he didn't see anything. His words were "I don't see an infection im guessing its a dry socket." I'm not sure that was the best choice of words. I guess what is that. Anyway he put something in the site for the dry socket which I have had before and they normally take a few days to come out. Well my husband was having the second part of his root canal done and I walk in and the Dentist is working on his tooth. I guess he must have forgot I was in the room because in the 30 minutes I was in the room he stopped working on my husbands tooth 4 times to text on his phone. Mind you all times he was texting on his phone he never bothered to change or take off his gloves. So he finishes wiht my husband and they schedule my husband for a filling for a week later. Well my husband was charged like 500.00 they said it covers everything. I figure thats not bad normally it is like 800.00. Well we leave, we come back a week later which was last Friday and now mind you I'm still having pain this is 3 weeks later. We get in and he asks how my excision site is. I tell him I'm still having pain he said oh well it must be healing slow. Ya sure he said it sounding suprised like he doesn't wanna admit he did something wrong or doesn't really know what the problem is. Well my husband got his filling done. We went to leave thinking ok no more of this dentist ya. Well when we go to walk out the door they said it was gonna be 120.00 for the filling. We told them they said the initial charge covers everything. They said no it was everything for the root canal they said a filling is different. I said well at no time from when the filling was charged to when we went to leave did they mention anything about an additional charge. They said they didn't have to mention it. If we would have known they were going to charge we certainly would have looked for a different dentist to do the filling. They told us my husband could have left the temporary filling in he didn't mention anything about that. I realize it wouldn't have lasted long but the dentist made it seem like he had to come back right away for the filling. I told them the dentist never mentioned he didn't have to come back for the filling he never mentioned my husband could have left the temp filling in. The response was and I quote "ya he does that to people sometimes." Ok another bad choice of words. At this point im so mad just want to be done with them. We are gonna call another dentist about a crown because although I have never had one I know root canals weaken your teeth and they tend to crack. The dentist never once mentioned a crown for my husbands tooth. Well needless to say we will not be going back. If you are looking for a cheap dentist and you don't care about the qualtity of service go here. If you care if your treated like a paying customer and the quality of service then spend a little more. Now mind you with two young kids we can't afford a whole lot but next time I'm willing to spend a little extra not to go to the cheapest place I find. The dentist and staff is very friendly the place is very clean and they are cheaper than most places that is the good stuff other than that stay away.

wow , if you already have a dentist you like stick with them even if you cant afford their uppity prices anymore, at leat till you get a person that recomends another one that they have actually gone to and trusts. the old saying you get what you pay for is bs, this was the worst nightmare of a dental experience ive ever had in my life other than one other dentist in chattannooga in 1996. i should sue this dentist for my money back so i can get this poor excuse for a crown replaced by one that actually resembles a tooth and that actually fits right!!! the first day i went to this place it took 2 hours and 45 minutes to get a crown when it should have took an hour tops, the dentist was bouncing around multiple rooms multitasking and didnt even have a dental assistant helping him. i was left sitting in the room so long after the 1st couple shots that they began to wear off by the time he came back aaround and had to give me a third , all of which left my jaw sore for 3 and a half weeks, i had to ask for suction many different times so i wouldnt have to swallow pieces of tooth or drown in my saliva! then he left me in the room so long with the mouthpiece with goo in it that hardens i was about to choke when the other dentist walked by the room and took it out for him, then when it came back almost a month later ,after i was told 10 days he was suprised it didnt fit, after messing with it he sent it back, told me to come in the following week, came back the morning i was suppose to, it wasnt there noone bothered to call and tell me either! came again 3 days later. assumed it was ok because it wasnt hitting any teeth above it. later after tryin to eat with it and getting an incredible amount of food in beteween either side of it and down in my gum i realized it wasnt touching either tooth or it wasnt shaped like a tooth just a round smooth nub!!!!!!lovely now ive got to not only pay off the card i put this on but save to have it replaced
