I have been a patient of Dr. Schneider for two years. I am indeed fortunate and deeply grateful to have a caring doctor who has not only the essential empathic presence, but a solid knowledge and clinical psychoanalytic expertise necessary to allow me to deepen and experience myself in original and new ways. I highly recommend this doctor.

Really disappointed by this doctor.

After the 2nd session, myself visibly going through difficult times, Dr. Schneider gave me ZERO feedback about what I was facing. Nothing. When I asked for some input after talking to him for a full hour, he said "well, I need to get to know you better".

Last but not least, this doctor resists to talk up front about money---if you don't insist, you might go into your 3rd, or who knows how many sessions without knowing how much he will charge you.
"it depends, we'll see", he brushed off my initial inquiries; "we'll figure it out later, maybe insurance can do something" without having a clue of what type of insurance I have.

At the beginning of the second session, he replied "Are you sure you really want to talk now about fees"?

YES, I said. When I finally called him to tell him I could not afford his services, in a very derogatory way he told me "You'll never find help for less money". "It's an excuse to avoid therapy".

To top it off, he guessed "how come you don't have X hundred dollars per month for therapy...".

I gave him my hard-earned money, got NOTHING in return.
