I have been seen Dr. Mercado for more than 3 years and I am very pleased with his care. I first went to see him after a very bad experience with a Dr. when miscarried my baby. The long time waiting became less frustrating as his focused on my overall health, not only my womb. After a few visits I learned that the best thing to do is to see him in person. Nonetheless, when there is an issue, he is very prompt. For example, during pregnancy and after birth. He returned my calls to assess the situation and give me instructions. Dr. Mercado's experience makes him a very knowledgeable man. His is methodical, focused and does not give you a diagnosis unless he has prove. And he does not treat you as a mental patient. At the beginning I would get anxious thinking he was holding back information. So, even if you suspecting he is not listen to you, he does. I had many Docs telling me I had psychological pregnancy symptoms. It turns out to be H. Pilory and a few cysts. I much appreciate Dr. Mercado's ethic. He dos not alarm you, and gets to the bottom of the issue having your health as the primary focus. He is not worried about covering his a** . And taking from my experience with his billing office, I am not sure how he makes money. Most recently, I was advised to go into surgery by him. He advised me to see a generalist and a specialist. However, after six months of no solution and several pulled from the a** diagnostics, he explained what was going on and orchestrated the solution himself. Now I am recovering, and will go back to the office to see a biopsy result. He was nice enough to coordinate procedures and get some answers about other problems. I trust Dr. Mercado to oversee my care having my health as the most important thing. I wish more Dr. be like him: no judgmental, methodical, knowledgeable, caring, trustworthy. I am very glad our ways crossed. And yes, his secretary Wanda, is very nice too. She is very organized and seem to be on top of a fast paced and dynamic office. In conclusion, I totally recommend my doc.

the doctor examined me, told me nothing attended me in less than 5 minutes (literally) he said everything was fine and told me to come back on Monday.
i return on Monday with some spots of blood and he told me why you're here? (he did not remember that I had an appointment) and he told me everything was fine that it was normal, sent me to get some blood test to the hospital because his assistant had to pick up her child from school and told me to get dressed and then he will explain to me. when I finished the dress he was gone, his assistant gave me an appointment for Thursday to get more blood (I was still bleeding and gave me no recommendation or anything) I return on Thursday and the assistant took me out blood and was very desperate because she was there only for me and his son desperately crying out and she did not put my name to the blood tube, on Tuesday I had gone to the hospital because I felt bad and take to the doctor a record of what I had and he wasnt there, the assistant told me to bring it on Saturday ....... that saturday i was having an spontaneous abortion and stayed in the hospital until Sunday. bad doctor did not explain anything and he didnt give me the necessary attention, btw he didnt showed to my husband the picturo of my baby because he said it was just a circle (which anyways we wanted to see it) i was having an abortion the doctors from the hospital told me to resk before everithing and the dr. mercado doesnt care about it! so sad!

The restrooms were very well-stocked at this provider's office. They always have toilet seat covers, paper towels and toilet paper and never run out. All of the risks and benefits of my treatment were explained to me. Alvaro Mercado, MD was very thorough and informative. They've answered a couple of my questions over the phone, but most of the time I have to schedule an appointment. They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important.
