When I first visited the office, I was terrified of going to dentists. They seem to taken a genuine concern and spent a lot of time allowing me to overcome my fears. They responded to my dental needs promptly and efficiently with genuine care. My questions are always answered in a compassionate and carry manner. A lot of time is spent with answering my questions and I never feel rushed with Dr. Mora or the staff. I thought the staff was amazing; and they were so friendly and helpful. They always make me feel welcome.

I would like to follow up on my last review. I was annoyed with a few aspects of my latest visit and wrote an honest online review good and bad. Perhaps I should have worked it out with Dr Mora first before posting it but just wanted to vent at the time.
I certainly didn't want to hurt Dr Mora or his business in any way. For the record I want to emphasis I feel Alfred J Mora Dds, his staff and especially Megalana who does the hygienist work are quality providers and I feel they do very good work and provide service in the best interest of the customer.
However that being said I still feel an error on their part with the prescription shortage of mouth wash which should have been provided at the office and required for immediate success of the root planning treatment should not constitute an 1 1/2 hour inconvenience on my part.
I understand dentist have standard fee schedules for procedures that are accepted by insurance but when it comes out of my pocket I have to question it. The $60 charge for irrigation procedure which is a few ounces of mouth wash was in my opinion an obvious profit padding charge.

I was told I would need a one month follow up to my procedure, when I didn't hear from them who had been very vigilant about about appointments I called them to schedule.

Dr Mora's office was very professional about finishing the required procedure at my request. They also accommodated my request to have the $60 charge removed.

A few days later I received a certified letter saying Dr Mora no longer wished to treat me because of irreconcilable differences and that I lacked the necessary confidence and trust to provide me with dental care.. attached was a copy of my ill advised online review.
I never indicted in any way I lacked confidence but did question the charges.
It appears if we wish dental attention as Americans we just need to open are wallets and say help yourself without question.

It's ashamed Dr Mora couldn't just talk to me over a $60 dispute as I had already spent about $1400 in charges this year and was willing to spend another $1600 in the near future for scheduled work. A honest online review and petty difference will get you the unjustified boot.

I felt like my needs were mostly met, but they do make an extra effort. They answered my questions and spent a lot of time with me. I didn't feel like they were trying to rush my appointment at all.

I feel this dentist makes you believe in best interest of the patient but I was sent out to get my own mouth wash prescription which I should have received at the office after a long and expensive procedure of tooth root planning. I was very unhappy about having to wait for 1 1/2 hours to get it when i just wanted to go home.

I also discover apparent price gouging for a $30 charge for about 3 ounces of irrigation with the same prescription mouth wash I just paid $10 for a 16 once bottle. That equals to about $2 mouth wash and about $336 an hour to spray this stuff on your teeth for five minutes. A home rinse would have done the same job. I have yet to go back and question this unacceptable price gouging but will do so.
