I cannot express enough the gratitude I feel for Dr. Fellner and his staff. I have a true phobia about going to dentists, to the point that I let my teeth go for many years and actually got to the mentality of "just let them all fall out and get dentures so I don't have to deal with my fear." Insane and irrational thinking I know, but that's how afraid I was. Well...after going to visit with Dr. Fellner and his staff, I am no longer afraid and am looking forward to the long journey toward getting my smile back. Dr. Fellner is the nicest person. He will not allow you to be in any pain while working on your mouth. The staff is always friendly and they let you know up front the treatment plan and costs. I am very happy with my dentist and have in the past and will continue to in the future refer my friends and family. They may not be a big office but they are the best in my eyes.

I hardly ever write these reviews. I'm generally the grin-and-bear-it type, as I understand that mistakes happen. Dr. Fellner's office, however, pushed me past that mentality. As I'm finishing graduate school in a different city, I am very careful to schedule appointments when I'm going to be home. The last time I went in to the office, the receptionist told me that I had the wrong appointment date and that I would have to reschedule. I explained that it was not possible that I'd mistaken my appointment as I'd set this appointment for a specific date since it was more than a two-hour trip down. The woman simply said there was nothing she could do. I then looked around and counted twelve people in the waiting room - the sign-up sheet had seven names with the same appointment time as mine. I did my best to come up with solutions and to re-arrange my schedule; however, she remained unhelpful and even gave the impression that I was being a bother.

After I agreed to make another trip down, she explained that all they would have time for was x-rays and a consult during that appointment. Their hygienists were scheduling cleanings three months out. At that point, I had to walk out.

My family has gone to Dr. Fellner as long as I can remember, but after this experience, we will all be finding new dentists. The office's mentality is to simply move as many patients in and out as possible. You'll be viewed as your wallet (or insurance card), not as a person, patient or client.
