The doctor has been my provider 10 yrs + and I dread his retirement. Dr. Sison is the quintessential medical professional/counselor.

Dr Sison is a very lay back down to earth kinda guy. If you are looking for clinical gobbledygook and someone to listen to your entire life's history and give you all the answers he is probably not for you. He needs a brief summary of what YOU feel the problem is and feedback on his suggestions. He expects you to take ownership of your problems and participate in your recovery.

My entire consultation took about fourteen minutes where Dr. Sison asked very few questions, had barely any mental health history about me then dismissed my psychologist's diagnosis with a wave of a hand. Wow, his diagnostic talent must be magical, because he also charged me over two hundred dollars for those fourteen minutes before writing me an arbitrary prescription. His demeanor and word choices during our exchange were condescending. I plan to go elsewhere to find a psychiatrist who will actually take the time to read my history and care enough to explain medicines without being so condescending and dismissive. His office people are super nice though. They were extremely friendly, professional and responsive. Maybe they could teach him a few things.

I've been to a psychiatrist before that used a lot of foul language and it made me very uncomfortable, but they don't do that here. They were always very respectful and courteous. It is so refreshing to see a provider that you can tell truly cares about their appearance. They strive to maintain a professional appearance and look their best at all times. I spent less then fifteen minutes in their waiting room. It was great not to have to rearrange my schedule at all for my appointment.
