After years of suffering from severe stool incontinence and urine urgency, I was told by my primary Dr. to go see Dr. Sharan. Within 15 minutes and 3 office visits and a very minor surgery, Dr. Sharan gave me my life back! My problems were causing me quit a concern and disabling me from enjoying life, not to mention embarrassment.Thank you Dr. Sharan for allowing me to once again, enjoy life without the fears I had before!

Dr. Sharan is an incredibly helpful, intelligent and wonderful doctor. She has treated me with a gentle hand and sharp mind. I would recommend her to any woman I know, as she clearly knows what she is doing.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a medical "professional"....
I do not say this lightly... she is only truly interested in the money !
The thing is, she is not even good enough to cover it well...
I felt utterly abused by her and had to hire an attorney to get my money back. Shame on her !!!!!!

I found Dr Sharan on the internet. I searched for a female GYN but couldn't find a female taking new patients. I previously moved 120 miles away from my former GYN and was in need of an exam. I made an appointment with Dr. Sharan. My first impression as I pulled into the parking lot was that they looked closed because I was the only vehicle in the lot and the front entry doorway was dark. I went in to see they were open. I submitted my paperwork and took a seat. I waited about 10 min when a blonde nurse brought me into the exam room. She handed me a "Paper jersey" telling me to remove all my clothing that the Dr would be in shortly. As I was standing "naked" trying to get this "Paper" jersey on, I tore it..then the nurse doesn't knock but walks right in as I'm standing in the doorway trying to cover myself. She came in to take my BP. She gave me a new paper jersey and asked me to sit up on the table. This office was no more than a 6 x 5 closet. It smelled like medication and it was very hot. I got up on the table and I look to my left, there's a wall covered in mirror! So forget about covering up since this paper thing was a joke, I was totally on display. They asked if I minded having a male student in to watch the exam to which I said "NO WAY"....yet they had male students outside the door. I'm used to going to a woman's facility with all female doctors. Now I'm sitting up cause the table isn't flat when Dr Sharan comes in & introduces herself. She has me lie back but I can't because the back of the table is up...so I asked if I could lie down a bit but she couldn't get the backrest to come down so she called in her nurse who was able to get it down only a little. Anyway, I scooted down, she was rough as all hell...told me to relax and got angry at me for not relaxing...I could not get out of there fast enough. A family member called her before she finished with me so she ran out of the room to take the call. Came back asked me when the last time I had a breast exam, I told her but it wasn't from my new pcp I had just gone to, she got real angry again and said no breast exam? No blood work, what the hell? She was all over the place doing three patients at once. I head was spinning. Each time she asked me a question, she'd appear angry at my answer. She said I have endometriosis...starting ordering all these tests..some test I had already 2 months prior but she said I was having them again because she was the new doctor. I got to go back today...nervous as hell. Don't know what to do.

The office staff is very rude (except for one younger gal) and Dr. Sharon herself is even ruder!! I cannot begin to tell you how awful my experience was with this woman (Sunita Sharon). My husband is an M.D. in another city and he cannot stand to be in the same room with the lady. She is soo hyper and obnoxious! I cannot believe she is still even practicing here! I came close to death... and she is just acting like nothing ever even happened! She cost me and my health care provider a ton of money. No wonder we have a health care crisis in this country. I bet she's a Republican, too, no doubt! She isn't worth a dime. Not a dime!! Maybe this is the way medicine is practiced in her country of origin, but not here in the USA (at least not typically). OMG!! just an absolute nightmare--and I'm not even certain my surgery was necessary to begin with... and either did my husband believe so. I should have reported her to the Board of Healing Arts. I might do so now after reading that sooo many others have had the exact same experience with her.

I waited in the exam room for about 30 minutes and I could hear Dr. Sharan go into another patient's room first who had arrived after me. I could hear their entire conversation through the wall. When Dr. Sharan came in to see me I told her that I have had very painful experiences at gynecologists before and that was why I hadn't had an exam in a few years. She told me that if she was gentle with me she would not be doing me any favors and I would not get a good exam. The exam was painful and I bled which has never happened to me during a pap smear. She said the pap smear was insufficient because of the blood and I would need to come back for a coloscopy so she could "look at my cervix under a microscope". I made the appointment to come back for the coloscopy. At the time I worked at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and I was discussing the coloscopy procedure with some coworkers. They told me that it is a biopsy of the cervix and the doctor should have told me to take some advil or something before coming in to minimize the pain. I was repulsed that the doctor didn't explain the procedure to me in full and never said that there may be a biopsy of my cervix. I never went back and never will. I have found another gynecologist that is wonderful and not painful at all.
