We have been going to Dr. Pelham for years and would see Dr. Kosfeld if Dr. Pelham was not available. In Oct 2013 my son had an issue with not feeling well and I told him to go in and see the Dr. and also get refills on his asthma and skin medicine. I called to make the appt and told them the reason for his visit, he was at work and was feeling sick and faint and shakey. I said I wanted him to get checked out (meaning a physical). He told the nurse the same thing when he went in. However, the Dr. never did a real physical and wrote down a code for obesity which is not covered by our insurance so we were billed for it. I called and spoke with Mary in billing (who feek was very rude and always has been) and asked her to get the code changed. She said she would ask but didn't think the doctor would do that. She called back and said he would not and I'd need to go to my insurance co and ask them why it wasn't covered. I called the insurance co and put in a grievance. They said they could not cover it but would contact the Dr. about changing the code. It came back denied. I had to pay approx. $200.00 for the Doctors visit. I'm not sure that she even went to Dr. Kosfeld to begin with but if she did, and the Dr. did deny the code revision, I don't think that it was unethical,very hurtful and discriminating. Based on this I am now looking for a new doctor office.

Dr. Kosfeld is amazing. I have been his patient for over twenty years and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. He is always kind and patient, listens very carefully to my concerns and asks very good questions. I feel like he treats the person, not just the ailment. His advice is always practical and he helps me to set realistic goals to improve my health. His staff is friendly and ultra efficient as well.

IMy only complaint is that I was put on some high dosage antibiotics and one of the side effects is diahrea. No one told me that if I would take some pro biotics with this med, I would be OK. The Dr should be aware of this.
