Dr Ruiz was highly recommended by a family member and I don't regret choosing her as my newborn's Doctor. She is very experienced and answers all questions. I've come to find out how much she cares about her patients and is advocate for them as well. Dr Ruiz has told me many time to not hesitate to call her if any problems arrive. Many doctors don't make themselves available after hours and she has. Who ever says she is rude and unprofessional has not dealt with the Dr Ruiz I have met. My husband and I love her and would recommend her to anyone.

I was referred to this Dr. by a friend of mine, since I was about to give birth and I needed one to go for the 2 days follow up of a newborn. The Staff are not very nice. One day I went by myself (normally I would go with my husband) and told me to undress my daughter so they can do her vitals, after they were done they told me to follow them to the room, and they saw me carrying my newborn on one hand, her diaper bag on the other and i didn't have an extra hand to carry her carseat, they saw me maneuvering my daughter and all and were not able to give me a hand, I thought this was rude. Then we met the dr., she didn't know anything about my 3 days old baby, told us she had to do a test on her (something she already got at the hospital the days she was born) didn't care to read her chart or the papers that hospital send in regards of this. She prescribe vitamins, I mean vitamins for a new born? Come'n, she is a newborn for Christ sake. Then she told us to go back when she was 1 month, when we came back, she didn't know what was the reason we came in, asking us what was going on with my baby. I only went there 3 times, and that was enough for me not to go back there anymore. I had to tell this dr. that my daughter needed her 2 months vaccine because she didn't say anything, and that was the reason why she asked us to bring her for. Last appointment I wanted to get my baby's ear pierce, and we did, they charge me $59 for it, which I paid up front, and then some co-payments for her shots (later insurance told me they pay that 100% and I shouldn't have been charge that), I found out, that this dr. has billed the insurance company for the piercing, as well as 6 vaccines when my daughter only got 3. DO NOT USE THIS DR. every visit after the first one, felt like if I was going to a different Dr. all over, she doesn't know her patients, and doesn't know the reason of your visit.

Not the worst, but certainly not the best

Does the pediatrician have other doctors or nurse practitioners that can provide care if the pediatrician is sick or unavailable?
Not at all. If the pediatrician is unavailable, my child will not be seen

Definitely not! It was obvious they just wanted to make money!
Was it clear that this provider takes pride in the appearance of his/her office?
Not really, it wasn't very clean
Are you confident that this provider will continue working with you until a solution is reached?
Not at all, I feel like they're constantly ready to give up on me

No, they didn't cancel on me last minute
