I love that they never over-treat my child, and only do procedures that are needed. I've heard of some doctors that will prescribe expensive tests for everything, but they've never done that here. I was impressed by how knowledgeable they were about immunizations. They answered every question I had. Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily.

We brought our 4-year-old to see Dr. Birriel because our doctor (who works for the same office) was out of town that day. Unable to make an immediate diagnostic for her cough and fever, he prescribed a series of tests, including a chest x-ray, white cell blood count and nasopharyngeal swab. The results were available by the end of the day, but the office failed to call us back and give us a prescription to start treatment, even though the doctor suspected pneumonia. Our child spent a sleepless night coughing constantly and was already showing contraction on the chest muscle. I called the office back first thing in the morning and after a few calls was able to locate Dr. Birriel. He told us that the test results were normal and that we should give our daughter Dallergy syrup to help dry out the mucus and in case that didn't help, take her to the ER. We were hoping that he would have instead attacked the cause of inflammation on her airways, not the effects. Extremely disappointed with his diagnostic, we decided to take her to our pediatrician, who promptly medicated her with antinflamatory, antibiotic and inhaled albuterol to control the infection in her lungs. Her condition improved immediately. For the first time in six days she didn't have a fever. We don't understand how someone with so much experience would make such a basic mistake.
