I was in the hospital for back surgery and my bladder would not restart. I was sent to Sr. Saracino's office upon discharge from Hosp, and visited Dr. Saracino 5 times over the next week. They put me on fast trac for a "microwave" procedure to reduce prostate interference with with urinary tract. They went WELL out of their way to address my issues and to get the procedure done as quickly as possible. I have no complaints, and would (and have) recommended Dr. Saracino.
Yes the office is busy. Most patients are 'older' as I am and we all have balder, prostate, etc issues. Do you really want to go to any Dr. with an empty waiting room.? Now I have prostate cancer and I am again seeing Dr. Saracino.

Every time I come in for an appointment, and throughout the appointment, I'm always having to remind them who I am and what my circumstances are. It's very frustrating. It seemed like they were trying to rush my appointment and were annoyed to be helping me. It was obvious that they wanted to be somewhere else. I was given a polite greeting when I walked in. It was nice to be acknowledged. The restrooms at this provider's office were clean and well-maintained. You could tell that they cleaned them regularly. Whenever I have a question, even if it's very basic, they always make me schedule an appointment, which is extremely frustrating. It took forever to accomplish anything and their scheduling was terrible. The most worrisome portion was that they completed procedures without full explanations.

Dr S is a very cool, capable doc. I have no reservations about his knowledge or skills. He's always been frank, and up on the latest meds, stats, and procedures.

Office management is another matter though. Compared to other Osler facilities, the wait times in this office are greatly extended. I've seen upwards of 20-30 people in the waiting room- other Osler offices typically have 3-5. I've waited an hour or more just get into the SMALL waiting room, and for busy working people this can be an issue.

I've also seen some odd staff practices. Once I was due for an annual exam, the nurse prac (or PA, I wasnt sure what her role was) didn't even mention it was due and released me to leave. When I questioned it, she looked puzzled, left , then returned and said the doc could do it but I was behind many other patients. I asked why can't YOU just do it- the previous PA wouldn't bat an eye, she was all business and the exam took like 5 seconds.

Anyhow she returned about 10 minutes later and said OK but we had to move to another room so we moved, she came in then hollered CHAPERONE!? And another nurse came in to observe. I'm thinking WHY would someone this concerned about seeing body parts go into this profession?

Anyhow I finally got the exam after all the drama. But I wish the original PA had never left - her and Dr S we're an awesome team. Now Dr S is the sole source on most exams/procedures which means LONG waits!

I've always appreciated how understanding and flexible they are with their appointment times here. They always try to work with my schedule and figure out a time that works for me. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I was in so much pain during my entire appointment that I know could have been avoided if they actually knew what they were doing. They should have been much more careful. It was very easy for me to get an appointment with them. They had very convenient availability.
