Dr. Mammino is highly knowledgeable, experienced, and an advocate for his patients. He takes time to explain the diagnosis to his patients and review all possible treatment modalities. I highly recommend.

I've been seeing Dr. Mammino for over 5 years and if it were left to my dealings with the doctor alone it would be a 5 star review. However, the nursing staff should actually bring it down to one star because most of my dealings outside of the examination room are with them. I'm putting it at 1.5 stars because I like the doctor so much. The nursing staff does not return phone calls, they are dishonest, and I will not go back to be mistreated by them again. I was trying to refill my prescription of Humira for advanced psoriasis with a new insurance company through Advanced Dermatology. I had not been able to afford it for 4 months because I had lost my job and had no insurance. When I spoke to the nurse about it she first told me that it took a lot of paperwork and that they were working on my prescription. After some follow-up questions the nurse finally tells me the truth that the doctor was not going to refill my script because I needed a TB test. I was working out of town at the time and could not get in to see the doctor for 6 weeks to have it done. My psoriasis had already covered 70% of my body so I was desperate to get back on Humira so I went to a dermatologist in the area I worked. Even still, I returned to A.D. in Oviedo again recently to refill my prescription for a year's deployment to Eastern Europe. I made it clear that I needed to carry the medicine with me when I went to Europe and I was assured that I would have my prescription before I left. Well, the nurses again did not return calls, lied and said they tried to call me when I called back angry, and didn't submit the prescription for filling until it was too late for me to take it with me. My advice: stay way away from this place if you expect to be dealing with them in any recurring capacity.

I went to this office as a new patient hoping for professional and caring treatment as a recurrent skin cancer patient. Instead, I was treated in a dismissive manner by the person who saw me and clearly felt that I wasn't wanted as a patient. The P.A. entered the room and never introduced herself. I had to ask whether she was the P.A. She folded her arms on the other side of the room, asked why I was there and in a paper "gown". After explaining that the nurse told me to get into the "gown" and going through the litany of my history again (after telling the nurse who had all my records) she remained on the other side of the room looking at me. Uncomfortably, I finally had to ask if she was going to examine me and she said she was. She must have exceptionally good eyes to do that across the room. She reluctantly came over and gave a cursory and disinterested glance at me and said I could come back whenever I felt it necessary. Usually, cancer patients are scheduled by the Dr./P.A. every 3 to 6 months after surgery and yearly if there hasn't been any recurrence in some time. This was a very strange experience for me, bordering on malpractice. I'll certainly never return there and I'll probably report this to my insurance company. No one, especially someone with recurring health problems, should have to go through such an unpleasant experience.
