I have been going to this office for 20 years. I love Dr. Modi especially, and Dr. Stewart is also commendable, but I am NOT overly pleased with the support staff. Are all doctors' offices like this? One example of poor service: I went to an Xray facility because what we thought was a sprained wrist wasn't feeling better, and we wanted to make sure the bone wasn't broken. The Xray people said they couldn't do it without a prescription, so I phoned Newark Pediatrics and they wouldn't fax a prescription over without first having an office visit. So that what? What would be the chances that they wouldn't confirm that an Xray was the next logical step? A second example is that after a routine checkup, my billing was sent to the insurance company. By the time the patient portion was billed to me, it was over 90 days after the date of service. This was the first bill I received from the doctor's office, and it had a handwritten note that threatened to "terminate our care" if it wasn't paid immediately. If you are looking at these reviews in order to make an informed decision about whether to choose this physicians' office, I would have to warn you against it.
