Worst Psychiatrist I have ever been to. She does not care for her patients, ignores your concerns about medication, and her judgement is extremely off. NO ONE should go to this lady. Someone needs to revoke her license and shut down her practice. Unbelievable...

From all the reviews that I have read about Oberkirch it is clear that the few good responses were sent in my her. What a joke she is! Unprofessional in every way. She doesn't care about her patients and talks about herself the whole time. My dogs, my art, my next vacation, my plans when I get out of here today. The list is endless. I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enermy.

Unbelievable... DO NOT GO TO THIS WOMAN!!! The most unprofessional person I have ever met. This woman should have her license revoked and her practice shut down.

If I were to compare them to other psychiatrists I've seen, I would definitely say they were one of the best. Everyone in my community knows that they are the absolute best in the field. I never have to worry about them overbooking appointments. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. I was worried that they were going to wear an obnoxious cologne, because I've dealt with that at other places, but they didn't even wear cologne. It was fantastic to be able to breathe freely the entire time. I enjoyed having her dogs there---very comforting---Dr is willing to remove them if you are uncomfortable---I miss it when they aren't there! Dr is VERY intuned to my disease, addiction, and is so careful to treat (prescribe pills) accordingly. If you want to recover Dr Oberkirch is a real advantage---if you want to recover--if you are playing games you have the wrong Dr!

Sometimes, I usually have to convince them to look into the situation

No, they could have used some continuing education
Did this psychiatrist have an entertaining selection of waiting room magazines?
No, there weren't many to choose from

Dr, Oberkirch has her two huge slobbering St Bernard dogs present at every appointment. I hate to have them sniffing me and slobbering all over me. She seems oblivious to how much this offends her patients. My first appt with her she insulted me, and made me feel that I shouldn't be asking for any medication at all. She refused to see me solely for medication support, even though my usual MD was wonderful, and professional and we agreed that this medication allowed me to lead a successful & happy life. She refused to listen to me and my appointment was rushed, and a waste of my time. She is extremely excentric, and weird. I didn't get any help from her and she didn't answer any of my questions. Although I live very close to one of her offices, I will do whatever is necessary to never have to see her again.

Yes, they listen to all complaints and make every effort to correct the situation.
Does this psychiatrist promptly return your phone calls?
Yes
Did this psychiatrist ever take personal phone calls while in the appointment room with you?
Yes! They took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.
