I was a college student looking to go to a dentist because I thought I had a cavity. I chose Dr. Mark Summerford because he had good reviews and was on my dental insurance plan. I would just like to say:

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!!

Not only does he use outdated equipment like film X-rays when my dentist at home has been using digital for YEARS he told me I had cavities when I didn't! He wanted to fill a cavity between my two front teeth (somewhere everyone could see if I smiled). I am so glad I waited for a second opinion from my dentist at home. She told me all I had to do was floss and use special toothpaste and now that "cavity" is completely gone!

But wait! There's more. He told me that I had another cavity in the back of my mouth and scared me into getting it filled ASAP. Then he completely botched the job! The filling almost entirely fills the gap between two of my teeth and it is hard to get floss between them (not to mention it was giving me pain and migraines for weeks). My dentist says she will have to re-do it eventually.

Dr. Mark Summerford obviously has learned outdated dentistry methods! He believes that even the tiniest spot that could potentially turn into a cavity must be filled when in reality there are things you can do to reverse it! He might be very nice and he seems to know what he is talking about but he needs to update his methods.

My dentist at Central Park Dental Care is Dr. Mark Summerford. My recent, first visit to Dr. S. also included a cleaning by Kayla. Both professionals were fantastic! They made sure every question I had was answered. They were so personable and truly caring, which made the whole experience that much better. I was VERY impressed by how clean and bright my teeth were after my visit...GREAT cleaning job!! Definitely the best visit to a dental office I have ever had! Additionally, the office is very easy to locate, and all staff members are kind, welcoming, and willing to help.
