I have been a patient of Dr. Zweig for 30 years. He has been a true blessing to me and I value him highly as a doctor and a friend. During this time he has addressed a number of health issues. In each case his professionalism, medical expertise and concern for me as an individual has been exceptional. Dr. Zweig not only has provided appropriate medication to treat my health issues but also has provided alternative strategies to improve my health. When the situation required, he has sent me to specialists such as cardiologists and rheumatologists. In each case his recommendations have been excellent and each doctor has spoken very highly of Dr.Zweig. I am in my late 60‘s and attribute my continued good health and my ability to carry on a vigorous life style to his care, judgement and medical expertise.I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a exceptional internist.

They had quite a few interesting magazines, which made my time in the waiting room go by much faster. This provider has helpful information available online, which is really convenient. They have a good website and online presence. I really admire them for being more than willing to ask for help from other professionals in the field when they don't have an answer to my question. They aren't even slightly arrogant, and I'm confident they always have my best interest at heart. I love how much attention to detail they show. They are always so careful and meticulous. I never have to worry about them making a mistake or forgetting something. I'm always amazed at how considerate and concerned they are for my well-being. Their advice is always wonderful and completely unbiased.

As a long time patient of Dr. Zweig’s, I can recommend him highly and without hesitation.
Consistently during my time with Dr. Zweig, I have found him to be: thorough; meticulous; unassuming; insightful; engaging; and, of course knowledgeable. He stays very current on new studies and information, as well as procedures across the spectrum, showing a rare ability to adapt to new data. When he has referred me to specialists, they have been uniformly excellent, a reflection of the network he has built and the circles in which he travels. He takes the health and welfare of his patients very personally and works very hard to insure our wellbeing. As he knows you and your limits, he is also warm with a good sense of humor.
He has been very available, not only to see in person, but also the very early morning call from the other side of the world as well. Yes, he was very helpful in that situation, even with a very limited ability for diagnosis.
Admittedly, I am not the easiest of patients. I stay relatively current on medicine and medical studies. I ask questions, often the challenging variety. And, where I am personally affected, want high quality explanations. Dr. Zweig has always met the challenge. He seems to enjoy the opportunity to answer and explain, often with a bit of humor. He understands both the science and the art of practicing medicine. I find that his desire for my health and wellbeing to be inspirational which is certainly part of the battle.
How has this worked? Dr. Zweig clearly saved my wife’s life once, and both she and I have benefitted immensely in several critical situations where his care has resulted in little impact to quality of life, where even a small oversight would have changed the course of that impact. The proof is in the pudding as is said, and that’s a small bit of proof for us.
If you are looking for a “Doc in a box,” then Dr Zweig probably isn’t for you. If you are looking for an exceptionally high performing Internist to partner in your health and wellbeing, you will not find anyone better.

Years ago, determined to locate the best possible internist, an old-fashioned doctor of loyalty, patience, caring, and sincere involvement, I began canvassing my tennis-playing friends, physicians, dentists, Silicon Valley executives, business entrepreneurs, etc., for a name. Unequivocally, the response was the same: "If you want to live past a hundred, see Gary Zweig." Among those of us who are his patients, we agree that Zweig's qualities, first, as a man, and, second, as a doctor, are too well known on the Peninsula to warrant description. Nonetheless, what stands out is his gentleness, tactfulness,and, with his smile, a general good nature. As for his devotion to medicine, note this: Where most in the medical profession are masters of brevity, Dr Zweig is never economical with his words. He means to heal and preserve the dignity of his patient. In short, this is an internist who is nonpareil in precision diagnoses and accurate intervention. I'm one of those who plans to live well into the hundreds, and I'm so thankful I found him. All I can say is that I'm deeply, deeply indebted.

Dr. Zweig is an exceptional internist. He is passionate about maintaining his patients' good health and is a remarkably humane and conscientious doctor. His office is calm, well organized, and focused on the best care of the patient.

Dct. Zweig is a fantastic doctor. He is very caring and knowledgeable and is always available to help. He takes the time to listen and communicates everything in a very clear way. It was very easy to get an appointment. They have a very flexible schedule and get me in quickly every time. I love how attentive they are here. Even when notified that they have a personal phone call, they always wait to take it later. Their full attention is always on me and it makes me feel special. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan. Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better.

They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important. Not only do they never postpone my appointment, they always try to get me in as soon as possible. I love that I can always get an appointment right away, and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it. They were one of the kindest, most caring staff I've ever dealt with. It didn't matter how many times I called with a question or concern, they were always happy to help me. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future.
