Dr. Pratha helped me heal from serious attack of diverticulitis. She wrote a prescription, made up some herbal teas, and gave me several infusions.
The other GI doc I was seeing, at UCSD, was quite impressed with how well and quickly I healed.

The staff is condescending and slow. I was also sent here by a doctor I trust but will question that decision next time. I was told that all my gastroenterological issues are from unresolved childhood traumas. I believe still that it is a reaction to one of my supplements or medications as has happened in the past. That made no difference to her and of course this time and probably the last time also it was all from my mental issues and I was not the authority on this so did not know what I was talking about. She is challenging and condescending and always right. My family who went with me to all appointments because of the way she treated me, refuse to allow me to return. I had challenged myself to continue to see her because I told myself I was not a quitter. Wrong decision. Recommended supplements are highly expensive and do not work Super Alpha Calm at $43.47 caused insomnia. - Again I was told it did not work because of my mental issues of depression and anxiety. When I purchased a lemon balm tea at another location I was told it would not work and I needed to purchase theirs as theirs was of medical quality and the other was not. I walked out purchasing none of their poison. If I could get away with giving this office 1/2 to zero stars I would. I leave with you a warning. Your mental health is not worth the trauma this office and doctor will add to your life. STAY AWAY and you will be healthier.

Excellent for medical answers, often choosing/adding solutions that help our immune systems repair themselves, instead of fighting them with toxic drugs. Her Nurse Practitioner, Alison Anthony, is also excellent.Not totally a 5 because of difficulty in reaching her office by phone.

Dr. Pratha was extremely friendly and thorough. She spent quite a long time with me during my new patient visit, and I feel as if she really had a handle on what my heath issues were. She did not rush me out of the office, as many Doctors due. She answered all of my questions thoughtfully. I would highly recommend Dr. Pratha to anyone seeking an GI doctor who is open to holistic and integrative approaches to treating IBD.
