He is probably one of the best doctors, in which, I have been a patient . He knows his stuff and remains current. He seems to really care about his patients and takes the time to listen.

Quite possibly the worst doctor I have ever had. I could go on for pages and pages about his poor conduct, but I will spare you all some of the details. He doesn't care about his patients AT ALL. He did not inform me of any basic protocols to keep me safe given my allergy. Everything that I know came from my own research or my primary care physician's research. Practically all of the information that he gave me was incorrect and seriously outdated. The worst part was that I would explain to him that what he was saying was incorrect and he would just brush it off. Like, what do I know, I am only the patient, right? I am only the one who is suffering from this LIFE THREATENING allergy. It's not like the information that he is giving me could potentially save my life or anything. (By the way, that last statement was meant to be sarcastic.) His service was so incredibly poor that my primary care physician had to step in and treat me herself. To make matters worse, she asked him to send a letter in to my insurance company so that I could switch to a new allergist and he simply ignored her request (he also ignored several requests of mine). He had things in his office that he was "not sure" if they contained my allergen or not. He would then touch that iffy substance and then try to examine me without washing his hands! I was hospitalized for my allergy and he was the on-call allergist for that hospital and he wouldn't even stop by no matter how many times the hospital called him and asked. He is a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE doctor and he should honestly just consider retiring. If you have a choice, DO NOT choose him.

I went to get an allergy test, certain after several isolated reactions- I was certain the reaction was due to eating seafood. The strange thing was it doesn't start showing until 24 hours after consumption, gets drastically worse 48-72 hours and only starts going away 96 hours after. I had a 1 hr consultation, which only took so long because he wrote down everything that I had already filled out prior to the visit. EVERYTHING- Why have me fill it out first if we're going to go over it in person? Then I had to come back for the allergy test. After I got the approx 40 pricks- I asked how the seafood ones were showing. The nurse said, you aren't supposed to get those. And I said, YES I am that is the whole reason I came here in the first place. After re-checking my record she said, oh, here it is, I missed it. But because she already started the other tests, I had to wait for those to finish. All in all, I was there for 2.5 hours 1/2 naked., cold and annoyed. They made no nother to explain why they chose they 40 or so 'tests' from the 100 or so on the list, even though I asked. I was given poor quality photocopies of 'info sheets' from the 1990s that weren't helpful. Thye couldn't answer my questions about the allergies. (Like why was I allergic to some fish/seafood not others). All he wanted to focus on was telling me I was allergic to my cats and what was I going to do about it. (I was also experiencing severly puffy watery eyes for two weeks, that had come from nowhere) He insisted I was allergic to my cats. I am 32 and have had cats my entire life. I have the same three I have now for years. Please tell me why all of a sudden, in one 12 hour period I would all of a sudden have a reaction? I left and was told to return in three weeks for a check up. I left state days later for work. That day the eye swelling/tearing went away as abruptly as it had come and has not been back since. (It happened May, I went to the Dr in June and it is now November) When I went for the 'check up' I explained that it had gone away quickly, not came back and all he wanted to ask me was what I intended to do about my cats. Would I get rid of them or keep them? Then he gave me info on all of these purchases I should make, humidifiers and specail pet grooming tools. How many times do I have to tell him it wasn't the cats? I was so aggravated I spent the third $30 copay for a follow up of nothing. I can't even get a copy of my med records without physically going back there. I would not recommend- They are outdated and don't seem to pay any attention to new research. e didn't even know what diatemaceous earth was. Do not recommend!

Dr. Tamaroff spent almost 1 hour with me, asking a number of questions to better understand my condition and answering all of my own questions. This is truly unique when most of the doctors limit their time with patients to 10mn max. Dr. Tamaroff's sense of humor is very comforting and his knowledge of the field of allergy seems totally remarkable.
The office staff was the best I have ever experienced, friendly, attentive, quick and effective. They have set the bar really high for other medical offices to emulate.
Definitely among the best experiences I have had as far as doctor visits.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tamaroff's since 1991. He has taken FANTASTIC care of me throughout my teens years through adulthood. His partner, Dr. S. Meltzer cared for me throughout my pregnancies as well as my children. I LOVE this office & they treat me like family! Many of my family members & friends are patients of theirs as well! A++++++++++
