Ruder was abusive and arrogant. The results of my surgery were horrible. I should have sought a second opinion BEFORE surgery with Ruder --- rather than afterwards. No other doctors I consulted with (afterwards) recommended him. He does not seem to be well-regarded by his peers.

This doctor is NOT ethical at all! I went to see him for a chronic ear infection, and instead was told by the doctor that I could use some plastic surgery because my eyes seemed puffy to him! I was also sold medication out of the office that did no good for me, and instead of listening to my general physician and prescribing me the antibiotics that I really needed to keep the infection under control, he kept selling me out of office, steroids three times. I explained the steroids were not helping me in any way, and I was told to come into the office every time, that Dr. Ruder doesn't just prescribe over the phone, and the three, four times I did, I was mysteriously charged months later for having surgical procedures done! The office staff was rude and wouldn't give me an accounting statement so that I could see the charges. I was told I was at zero balance and then months later, a ninety some dollar bill arrived and a month after that it jumped to almost eight hundred dollars! then it went to two hundred, almost three hundred dollars. And this is months after I stopped seeing this doctor! This doctor is too used to the money he gets from doing plastic surgery and forgot what it means to be a doctor that helps patients. Be forewarned that you will get ripped off as a patient of his and not get the help you need.
