This review is not about Dr. Gray -- it is about his staff -- they suck!! All of my records were lost by his staff back in Oct. 2013 -- everything I brought with me from GA to come under Gray's care. Never received return calls from his staff. And, somehow, faxes are not responded to. I lost an attorney because the attorney was not able to communicate with Gray's staff or Gray to set up a telephone conference with Gray (this has also happened to other patients), so the attorney turned down my case because if he could not even get a telephone conference scheduled (after making numerous phone calls to his office and then sending faxes with no responses), how would he be able to communicate in a law suit!! Also, received a bill from LabCorp for lab work that had been paid for prior to 1/18/16 and after 1/18/16. LabCorp told me that Gray had to call them to get this straightened out; so I faxed the bill I received with the tests that were denied (but, again, always paid for before and after) on 7/29/16 from Dr. Crago's office with a confirmation that it was received by Gray's office, but nothing was ever done by Gray's office to address the possible miscoding. I found out in Dec. '16 that this $1,222+ bill had been sent to an outside collection company; so once again, I faxed the same information to Gray's office from Dr. Crago's office with confirmation received the forepart of December. I found out yesterday (1/18/17) when having to have a Thyroid test done through LabCorp that Gray's office still has not addressed the problems that caused the tests on 1/18/16 (even my Thyroid test was denied by Medicare) to occur. I had put calls into this Shawna/Shanna about this and never received a return call from her. I will now be filing a complaint with the AZ Medical Board -- this is BS and an ongoing problem with Gray's staff.

I need to say that all but one of his reviews are obviously fake. The one real review?!?! Come on! Who cares about how the bathroom is well stocked, well dressed the staff are, etc. Did you get medical help!?!? That's what counts!
Here's my experience after being Ottenstiens patient for almost 2 yrs.....My Dr is Grays partner at Progressive healthcare. I had spinal fussion surgery on August 19th, 2015. Ottenstiens was in India at the time. My incision from surgery is 10 inches long. Gray refused to approve the prescription written by my neurosurgeon! My surgeon spoke with Gray. He still refused saying my pain management daily prescription was sufficient! 3 of the 10 mg per day of oxycodone! My sergeon told Gray he would take over my pain management. Gray agreed but only if I would allow him to fire me as a patient! I agreed obviously. Before the 30 days were up(required by law)requiring him to be my Doc, I requested a refill of my blood pressure meds. HE REFUSED! My new doc won't be able to see me for 2 months! DR. GRAY IS A VIDICTIVE MAN. HE MADE A FOOL OF HIMSELF, AND IS NOW BLAMMING ME BECAUSE HE LOOKED AT MY FILE STATING I HAD FAILED A DRUG TEST! HES A LIAR AND I CAN PROVE IT! HE'S CRUEL TO ALLOW ME TO BE IN SUCH PAIN. IM A 54 YR OLD GRAMMA! NO ARREST RECORD, NOT A DRUG ADDICT! IM DEPENDANT OF PAIN MEDS BECAUSE I HAVE OSTEO ARTHRITIS. His staff since has treated me like a leper! Its too bad really because the staff and Ottenstiens are wonderful. BTW, if you have an appt with Gray, expect to wait AT LEAST 2 HOURS. You know why he's always late coming to the office? Staff knows. They told me! He makes his own wine!! Hobbyist drunk!!

It was easy to get the appointment time that worked for my schedule. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine. I was very comfortable the entire time. One of the first things I noticed when I came in for my appointment here was that the building was not handicap-accessible. I didn't see any ramps or wheelchair accessibility, which seemed kind of strange to me. The restrooms were very well-stocked at this provider's office. They always have toilet seat covers, paper towels and toilet paper and never run out. I was hoping that they would be sympathetic to my situation and understand where I was coming from. Instead, they made it completely obvious that they didn't care about me or what I had been through.
