*This doctor is always rushed, she is impatient, she interrupts often and I sometimes can't finish what I an saying, she is always late -one time more than an hour- and she never acknowledges it or apologizes for making you wait. (The office staff are really rude too most of the time.)

*When my dad had high PSA results and asked about them she said it was normal for his age. (I am paraphrasing her words.) But his count went up the previous year too, and he knew that could mean cancer. He requested seeing a specialist, she said was not necessary, he pressed further, finally she referred him and he, indeed, he had cancer. It would not have been caught if my father did not watch his own test results very carefully and press to see a specialist! I am paraphrasing the words she used because I was not there, my father told me about the conversation. Bottom line - she was not concerned about test results which were indicative of cancer.

*When I was sick she said it was allergies, she and refused to treat me and said, "I am NOT giving you antibiotics." I'd had a fever for two weeks and was coughing up green mucus. Another doctor I went to said "You're doctor's an idiot. Obviously you've got an infection." (That's a real quote)

I was recommended by a family friend who happens to be a doctor to see Dr. Hart as my PCP. Unfortunately, I was not very impressed with the quality of care I received under Dr. Hart; in fact, she was abrasive, impatient, and rude. First, I waited over 30 minutes to be seen, and when I did see her, she did not apologize for the delay. Further, she was not ready for the appointment: I told her I had bloodwork done to which she questioned me, looked for but could not immediately locate the results, and when a nurse brought them, Dr. Hart had to read the test results in front of me as I waited. Throughout the duration of the appointment, Dr. Hart made several disconcerting remarks and interrupted me several times. She told me, "Gee, for a 38 year-old woman, you seem pretty nervous." Surprised, I replied, "Well, I am at the doctor's office and my father was recently diagnosed with lymphoma, so I guess I am a little nervous." When I asked her for a referral for a bone density screening, she told me, "You are way too young for such a test. Why do you think you need one any way?". When I asked her for a referral to see my OB/GYN, she told me that I did not need to see her; she, herself, could just as easily do a papsmear. At the end of the appointment, she told me, "You should NOT get another physical for two years, as your insurance probably won't pay for the bloodwork." Needless to say, I left Dr. Hart's office dumbfounded. When I shared my experience with family and friends, many insisted that I write a letter to someone, anyone, but to whom, I wondered? The medical board? Then I found this site.

I believe Dr. Hart's demeanor and advice were unprofessional not to mention unethical. I question her professional judgment, while her "bedside manner" is truly abhorent. I do not believe she had my best interest at heart.
