Wonderful pediatrician. Very approachable and comfortable. Easy to talk to and answers your questions. Shows you test results. He was my son's pediatrician.

While Dr. Thotakura was very nice and made my daughter feel at ease during appointments, I cannot give a good review due to the fact after almost a year and multiple records requests (including one made in person after flying back to Huntsville from California) his clinic has not sent my daughters medical records and shot records to our new doctor in California. This seems to indicate a unacceptable level of incompetence in his staff, and I do not feel anyone should have their medical information handled by someone who can't keep track of the records.

No, my child couldn't stand them and we no longer see them

Not really. I usually have to wait a long time

Never, they can't even remember throughout my appointment

As a nurse, mother and now grandmother I will state this doctor is one of the best in his field. In fact several years ago, he saved my daughters life. He was unable to find what was causing her severe illness and immediately referred us to a top specialist that saw my daughter within the week.
He gives antibiotic treatment when needed. He actually has a biologist to review his specimen slides in house so that the proper antibiotic is given. He does not over medicate nor under medicate his patients. To the reviewer that complained about the noise level I say "children are noisey". He is very busy and he sees many children. I only wish we could clone him!!

No, If I had known how terrible they were I never would have gone.

Way too loud! I could barely hear what anyone was saying over the noise

No, they close exactly on schedule despite any circumstances
If you didn't want certain vaccines for your child, did the pediatrician respect your decision?
No, they ridiculed me for not wanting certain vaccinations
Does the pediatrician get upset when you seek a second opinion?
All the time. It made me very suspicious
