Dr. Cernea is a caring and generous care giver. My family and I have been seeing her for years. She is smart and insightful...exactly what you need and want in a doctor. Her staff is pleasant and professional. I always feel welcome and comfortable when I am there. Highly recommend.

I recently switched to Dr. Cernea's office and was pleasantly surprised. I spend a little too much time in the waiting room. I've waited longer at other offices, but I was hoping to be seen sooner. I am always so impressed with her interest in me, that is non-related to medical concerns. I love knowing that if I have a quick question I won't have to wait forever to get it answered. It was so nice to arrive and see many fully qualified staff members. Jennifer and J.Lynn are friendly and always available when the doctor isn't. They've never used foul language, but she is very direct and there is no sugar coating of the situation. All the facilities, the restrooms and equipment, at this office were spotless. It smelled amazing in there and looked new and professional (even though it was a little small). I was recommended by a friend and am not turning back.

They put in the extra effort to make me feel valued and important. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want. I didn't experience any unnecessary pain during my visit, and I was amazed at how much better I felt after I left. They were ready to see me when I showed up for my appointment. I never had to wait for them to show up.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Cernea. What drew me to her office is that she is boarded in preventive medicine, which means that she deals with family histories of high cholestoral, cancer, blood pressure etc. She is very well educated (Stamford Medical School), and many of my friends told me she had a very personal approach with each patient.
So I tried it out. Dr. Cernea will give it to you straight, and will never dance around the subject. She is very to the point and will tell you exactly what you need to hear, and what you need to do. In addition, I was taken to her staff. They were one of the kindest, most caring staff I've ever dealt with. Her office is clean, and pretty well run. I recommend her to everyone.

Somewhat, but it's still difficult to get an appointment
Did this provider wear an obnoxious cologne?
No, they didn't wear any cologne
Were you able to get answers to simple questions from this provider without scheduling an appointment?
Not at all! I had to schedule an appointment for absolutely everything!

Their prices were very fair. The level of care you get for the price is outstanding. They were friendly and made me feel at home. I don't know of anywhere else that would've taken better care of me. I had a great experience. They are always prepared for my appointment and remember everything about me. They were easy to reach in an emergency. When I called they answered right away and I was so relieved to hear a friendly voice.

Im glad to see I am not the only patient who thinks that Dr Dana Cernea is horrible.I have been on the receiving end of Dr. Cernea's attitude. The has a terrible bedside manner!I am no longer her patient as of today because she chose to drop me as a patient because I refused to pay a copay that she wanted for my annual well care visit. My insurance plan waives the copay for annual well care visits to my primary MD as well as my OBGYN (I confirmed this with them the day before my visit). She is so money hungry that upon her entrance into the exam room she began to lecture me on why I "owed" her the copay, and she felt that I should find another physician if I did not want to pay it. She refused to continue to see me even though my blood work results show abnormalities which need to be managed and treated with medication. I now need to immediately find a new physician. In the past, she also made me come in for a "office visit" when I called for a referral for my monthly chiropractic adjustment. The visit was unnecessary, but she made me come in so that she could charge me a copay and bill for an office visit. She didn't even give me the referral-she said my back pain/scolosis pain should be treated with medications.Imagine that-lets drug someone into a stuper rather that treat with healing therapy. She needs to learn to listen to her patients, rather than interrupt and be a rude know-it-all!She seemed more interested in commenting about flaws in my physical appearance-she felt it more important to tell me "your hair is thinning", "you have rosacea", "what are you doing about your weight" -Ironically her diagnosis of rosacea was redness from just having my lip and eyebrows waxed. My blood work shows I have hypothryodism-I guess that's what's causing the hair loss and the weight gain- but now she doesnt want to treat me for actual medical conditions over a $25 copay. She also kept recommending that I see HER nutritionist because she bills it as an office visit and she gets a payment kickback! I went a few times, but no recommendations regarding a diet plan were made-she just told me to eat less!I've reported her to the insurance company and will be filing a complaint to the AMA.
