I should have known better going to a podiatrist that doesn't have a handicapped ramp! I had bunion surgery in January 08 and unfortunately my foot is much worse off then it ever was before. The big toe was not and should have been corrected when she did the extensive surgery, it was not 'fixed' and now I need another procedure-Dr. Do was insensitive to her mistake, my life was put on hold for about 15 weeks, it was obvious that there was a problem. And now she wants to do another procedure that will take 8 weeks, or so I'm told, the first procedure was to take 12 weeks and I'd be in my regular shoes again. I'm still not able to wear clogs, the most comfortable shoe I own. I am now seeing a new doctor, he has taken the pins out of the top of my foot and I was told that she did the most invasive 'horrific' surgery there is, it was not necessary. The thought of going through this again is dreadful! 10 months and my foot is only getting worse. She's young and inexperienced. She actually said that she'll make sure to do this additional procedure on her new patients, I guess i was the guinea pig. Please make sure you get a second opinion!
