Dr Bhaika was very helpful an took my concerns seriously. I had a colonscopy and was very apprehensive about that, but his staff was awesome and so helpful. I then had a HIDA scan and found out my gallbladder was only operating at 27% so Dr Bhaika referred me to Dr Irani for surgery. Dr Irani was great as was his staff.

Dr. Bhaika pretty much let me die. The first time I was hospitalized for ulcerative colitis my colon was so inflammed that a thorough colonoscopy could not be given to me. Dr. Bhaika (who was my GI doctor while in the hospital) sent me home a few days later with no further testing and advised me to take several different prescription meds. Well a few weeks later, I ended up back in the hospital more worse than the last stay. My abdominal region was severally bloated and this time I had to get a blood transfusion due to all the blood I had been losing due to ulcerative colitis. Again no major tests were given to me, but he did up my dose of prescription meds and sent me home after a few more days in the hospital. Finally, a few weeks later, I had to be rushed to the ER because my ulcerative colitis turned into toxic mega colon. I had to be cut open from below my breasts all the way down to my pubic region to have my life saved and my dieased colon removed. Dr. Bhaika only came to see me once after my surgery while I was in ICU knocked out from getting out of surgery. After that, he never came to see me the whole two weeks after surgery while I was still in the hospital. I was later discharged from the hospital with the wrong prescription meds because he never came back to advise the hospital staff on what to prescribe. Almost a year later, I no longer choose to let this doctor treat me. I now see a colorectal doctor in LA. After my LA colorectal doctor took a look at my medical records from the past year under Dr. Bhaika's care, he was shocked that I wasn't recommended for surgery from my first hospital stay which would've prevented me to have a horrible surgery due to toxic megacolon.

If you have crohns or ulcerative colitis, stay away from this doctor. You're better off seeing a colorectal specialist down south in LA who will recommend surgery when it's in the early stage for it to be minimally invasive. In my case, surgery was prolonged almost to the point where I lost my life and had to be butchered on the operating table.

They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. They always return my phone calls quickly. I always know that I'll get a prompt answer to my question. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs. The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine. I was very comfortable the entire time. He is very definite about what needs to be done. I tried to put off a test for the next week, but he said that No the test and my health was more important that the grading of science fair projects! he was right,
