The doctor did an exceptional job performing surgery. Thereafter, information for post-surgery care was unclear and confusing. A blood clot developed. The doctor prescribed medication which helped. When questions and complications arose in the subsequent months, it was difficult to get clear information and instructions. Staff would relay messages that left me more confused. Eventually the doctor relayed a message saying that I no longer needed the medication. (The blood clot still exists, although it is much less of a problem.) I asked the staff person that was relaying the message if the clot would dissolve on it's own without medication and was told yes. I was left wondering how do they know my condition? When I asked another question, the nurse said, "follow up with your regular doctor" and hung up. The months post-surgery have been very confusing. Fortunately, I have an appointment with another doctor, one who I hope (doctor & staff) will have the patience to give thorough information.

Dr Paul saved my wife's life. had it not been for him she would not be here today.he was very compassionate and not the least one of the best surgeons in our area .will always be grateful to him.thanks Dr. Paul Jim Ranes

Dr Paul was my surgeon in 2002. To this day he is my angel. He is the most caring compassionate Dr I have ever had contact with. I can call his office and within a few hours he returns my calls. He truly is a rare commodity these days. Can never thank him enough.

My daughter has a tumor in her thyroid and it's so big you can see it when she turns her head. Dr. Paul said he didn't see any need in removing it even if it is cancer that thyroid cancer is slow growing, because she wouldn't want a scare on her neck. First of all who wants to go around with a big lump in their neck thinking it could be cancer? I told him her grandfather had thyroid cancer at the age of 37 and he said he didn't count grandparents as close relations. He said at my daughters age of 27 it's most likely not cancer. So I ask him if it was hereditary and he said certain types are. ??? heck you be the judge, anyway she is getting a second opinion.
