My son has been Dr. Andrew Alpar's patient for over 10 years. He was given a new brand of contacts and after a couple of days, my son just couldn't adjust to them. We went back to the office and given the run around. It was said that someone called the office to cancel the follow up appointment and to say that the contacts were fine. That was never the case. My son and I were given the contacts day 1. We were given 4 boxes. Upon returning them, one box was opened and the other three were not. I do not know who opened the box...that is how we got them. We wanted to go back to our previous prescription, which was a $20 difference per box. Dr. Alpar's staff continued to say that someone called and they could not give us credit for the open box. I have no clue who opened the box in their office. I made a complaint with the rude young girl. I received a call from another staff member a few days later. She said that Dr. Alpar would refund ONLY $70 or I could get my 2 boxes of contacts. I paid him $95. The older prescription of contacts are $20 cheaper per box. So I deserved to get an $80 refund and my 2 boxes that I paid for. The staff member told me twice that I (meaning me) really don't want to visit with Dr. Al;par. I told her yes I did. When I asked her why "I" didn't want to visit with him...she mentioned that she did not wnat him to be mean to me. He must have issues. I am requesting my money and he can keep his boxes , but I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else who may think of going to him for eye care.
