I visited Dr. Bhat, and paid her over $200 to have tests done. I waited over one hour to see Dr. Bhat, and, with a great lack of bedside manner, had blood tests done. I informed Dr. Bhat that I had Systemic Lupus, and my tests were all normal prior to seeing her. The tests that I paid for were not done, and when I again paid cash to see her, she flipped open my chart, and didn't seem to know that my tests were not done. This was over thirty days later, and she never once looked at my file since the first time I had seen her. I then lost my kidney function within a week, and had to undergo four years of dialysis until I received a transplant. I have since been informed that it will be very difficult for me to bear any children. Dr. Bhat had a thirty day window to notice something was wrong with my kidney function, and five doctors have since informed me that with my condition, the damage happened over a thirty day period. If you want this type of negligent treatment, then please spend over an hour waiting for this doctor.
P.S. After I lost my kidneys, and had to be prepped for dialysis, Dr. Bhat and her husband were extremely attentive, which proved that they could have been so the entire time. They strenuously asserted that they were not responsible for my condition, even though the tests sat for over thirty days, and neither one of them knew they weren't done until she (Dr. Bhat) flipped open my file and the subsequent visit and saw they weren't in my file. After I began dialysis, they insisted on being paid before any of my files were transferred to more attentive doctors. So, insist on cash before anything is done (or in my case, not, after a fifty-eight minute wait in the lobby). And, after a patient loses her kidneys due to medical malpractice, "I'm not responsible!." Yes, I will be paid before anything I (didn't) do is transferred to another doctor who will do their job." Great service.
