Great doctor and I miss him.

I work for another Dr. and I scheduled two of our patients for appointments with Dr. Dubay. The person who answered the phone only took the patient's name. She did not ask for a date of birth, reason for coming, or any other information. Half way through the conversation she put me on hold by just muffling the phone and began to curse. I heard her very clearly. I asked her if she needed any other information or if she would like me to fax her some information. Her reply was ,'you can if you want to." The entire experience was very unprofessional. I have never scheduled a patient in that matter nor have I experieced that with another Dr. office.

My husband and I loved the doctor, however, his staff failed to ever return calls or do follow-up requests. We waited over 5 months for diabetic shoes which were never received. Calls and requests for information were unanswered. Another problem was very long waits to see the doctor--sometimes over two hours. The staff made no effort to inform the patients or reschedule.

Every time they left the room, the staff would immediately begin complaining about how much they disliked working there. It made me nervous, and I didn't go back. I was shocked when they dismissed my concerns as unimportant and told me I was just overreacting. I knew that my situation needed attention, and I couldn't believe that they wouldn't even look into it. They were extremely late to all my appointments. I always had to wait over an hour for them to show up. One thing that I don't appreciate, is that they close exactly at their scheduled time whether someone needs help or not. I can't count on them to help me if I show up even a couple of minutes past their closing time. Whenever I have a question, even if it's very basic, they always make me schedule an appointment, which is extremely frustrating.
