Dr. Serlo treated my severe hammer toe foot problems with great skill and empathy for ten years in Rockville, MD. For three more years after I moved to Pennsylvania I continued under his care by making the 120 mile round trip. He is a wonderful podiatrist.

I do need surgery to correct a 23 degree left deformity of my foot due to a bunion. Dr. Serlo cannot perform that surgery, but gave me great advice about local doctors who can as well as the benefits/risks of going to a large teaching medical center for the procedure. In the meantime, he scraped out a very painful callous on my baby toe and gave me an injection of cortisone for the underlying bursitis which relieved the pain immediately. The shot was really less painful than the pain I have been living with. And don't tell him that I worked out 30 minutes after the injection. It was great to work out without that toe throbbing,
