I found Dr. Kavanaugh to be incredibly fond of himself. With merely a 20 minute discussion and a simple 15 question survey, he decided he knew better than both the diagnosis of a licensed clinical social worker who had worked with my son for 6 months and the evaluation of a neuropsychologist who put him through hours of testing. Both sources recommended medication for my son, but Dr. Kavanaugh refused to prescribe them. If you are looking to help your child by applying a psychiatric strategy, avoid Dr. Kavanaugh. He readily admitted that he didn’t believe in medicating children. While I generally agree, when you have two other doctors more versed in psychological matters in children, you don’t take chances.

I love that Dr. Kavanaugh's office is right around the corner from my house! I was actually referred to one of his colleagues when my daughter was born but that doctor was completely booked so I happened to schedule with him. We could not have been happier! In fact, we referred him to our Brother and Sister-in-law for their newborn daughter! He's friendly and extremely professional and he actually takes his time to talk to us and answer all of our questions. There is literally not enough good things I can say about Dr. Kavanaugh and his employees!

They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I felt as if the doctors here care as much about my child as I do. The follow up care when my child was sick was above and beyond my expectations.

I've never had to worry about them being understaffed or not being able to help me right when I need it. They have a huge staff that's very knowledgeable and qualified. The staff was very helpful no matter how many times I called with a question or concern. They never made me feel uncomfortable for asking any question. All the parents in my community respect them, and recommended that I bring my child there.

Dr Kavanaugh is a great pediatrician who not only cares about his patients, but their families as well. He never makes you feel rushed and answers all questions respectfully. The staff is also warm and friendly. I would recommend this doctor to my closest friends, especially first time moms.
