Tonya Perkins is a young superstar in the field of Internal Medicine. Her technical skills are as good as any I have ever seen, and I have had a lot of doctors, some of them with a lot of status. For example, my blood pressure medicine was no longer doing its job as effectively as it should, which was disappointing considering how many different combinations of drugs I had tried over the years before settling on those. Dr. Perkins gave the matter some thought, added one new drug from a family I have never tried before, and - bullseye! Blood pressure normal again. One try, problem solved. She did the same thing when my triglycerides stubbornly refused to go down despite changes in diet and exercise - try one new drug - another bullseye. She knows her business. Combine that with a manner of dealing with patients that is second to NONE in terms of caring, listening, and relating, and you have a young superstar. My wife uses her too and agrees completely. We also recommended her to friends for their teenage daughter, and now the daughter will not go to any other doctor. A rare find - and we're glad we found her.
