I have been a patient since May 1984 in the ER of one of worst days of my life & he literally saved it by his quick thinking & decision on what to do first in order to find cause & then what action to take.. It was the worst day of my life & I'm so blessed to have had him there that evening. He has such a dedication for his field as well as patients & doesn't give up. He is the best doctor ever & before him I can't begin to express the unnecessary years of nightmares I had encountered prior to him & say that with all honesty. He truly takes time to listen to his patients, ask the necessary questions in order to determine what your health issue is & what the necessary actions are necessary. He doesn't give up & I can't express that remark enough, a very rare quality to find. He's so very knowledgeable & keeps up with his field as well as other medical fields. He as well as office staff is absolutely like no other. Pharmacists I've dealt with over years as well as other health agencies & doctors etc have remarked as EXCELLENT as far as promptness in getting back to them quickly. I would never ever go see another physician for the above reasons & too many more to mention. You're treated by his office staff in the same manner as Dr. Larry Stephenson does. Very efficient in every way that most offices are lacking. For appointments scheduled, you are called week prior to confirm which is wonderful. If you need to call about a question, you are not waiting days for an answer which I hear so often from others with their physicians. Usually depending on what time of day you call, you are called back same day. I can't say enough to let you who read my review just what a wonderful competent Neurologist you could find in Dr.Larry Stephenson. I trust him with my life.

I saw Dr. Stephenson for the first time and I couldn't be more pleased that I choose to switch Doctors. On my 1st visit he took a lot of time to answer any questions I had or that my husband had, he took 2 hours to examine me and answer any questions I had in relation to my seizures he is a doctor that shows he cares about his patients. I would highly recommend him to everyone with epilepsy or any neurological issues.

Not at all! They are always respectful and courteous!

Never, they go out of their way to address every concern of mine immediately

Dr. Larry Stephenson is one of the bestneurologist in Virginia in my opinion. His personal attention to both patient and family means so much to those he cares for. He was the only neurologist I ever saw who found the correct medications to control my seizures. He then went on to help me find a hospital and surgeon to do brain surgery to remove demaged tissue causing the seizures since childhood. Within two years I had stopped having any type of seizures and have remained seizure free and have not taken any medications since 1996 to control seizures. He is an excellent choice when looking for a neurologist. Joel and Michelle Joseph
