Dr. Portz was incredibly kind and compassionate. He spent as much time with me as I needed, without seeming impatient. He made sure I understood everything and wouldn't let me leave until he knew for sure that I understood. lol---which was refreshing! The only reason I didn't give him 5 stars, was he ordered a medication that I KNEW my insurance wouldn't pay for and he said they would. They didn't. Not even the generic. When I called the office, I was promised a phone call the next day and now it's the week-end, so I'll have to wait at least another two days. But, HE is a very good Doc. I'd recommend him in a heartbeat!

Thank GOD for Dr. Portz because he literally saved my life!!!

Not only did he save my life, he done so with the knowledge that my insurance wasn't in effect yet. He has since worked with me to set up a payment plan that I can afford and continues to provide awesome care!!

I wouldn't go anywhere else for my gynecological care. Dr. Portz is knowledgable and professional, yet very personable. His nurse practitioners are the same. Dr. Portz has done two successful surgeries on me to fix what U of M had botched when I had my hysterectomy/rectocele/cystocele surgery in 2005. So grateful I finally found a good doctor!
