I had my second child at the Women's Pavilion at Physicians Regional Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Dr. Brabson did not attend the birth, but rather his nurse-midwife Manola McCain did. My daughter had died in utero and Manola induced labor at 20 weeks. It was very hard for me to lose my child this way, but the excellent, sensitive care I received at Physicans Regional supported my emotional healing. I must also mention Nurse Rose Fuller, who was the rock my husband and I clung to during the ten-hour birth. She knew exactly what to say, and when to be silent. The hospital had policies and procedures in place to support us in our grief, and it made a huge difference. They were very careful to treat our daughter with respect. They dressed her, and took a cast of her footprints. They even sent us an invitation to an annual memorial service in their chapel for babies who have died. I recommend them very highly.

The birth itself was the closest thing to a natural birth I could have experienced in a hospital. They did want me to have an IV, but they tied it off and let me drink water and move around the whole time. They brought me a birthing ball and my movement was completely unrestricted. They didn't push medication or intervention, and encouraged me to listen to my body. They were respectful and supportive. I will be back next time for a happier birth, I hope!

I saw the midwives under Dr. Brabson to deliver my first baby. I highly recommend going to them if you are interested in a natural birth. I only saw Dr. Brabson when he came to the hospital to perform my son's circumcision. He seemed to have a great bedside manner, and made me feel at ease instantly.

I have been a patient of Dr. Brabson's for almost 40 years. He delivered both of my children and performed my hysterectomy. He is an excellent doctor, who is kind and compassionate. Although my children are now 20 and 25 years old, he asks about them at every visit. He makes sure that every single question I have is answered, and is always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is very friendly and professional. The office is very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I absolutely love Dr. B as a my ob/gyn and will continue to see him as long as he practices. He is the best!

I've been to one or two places that had a really bad smell. I was worried I would encounter it here too but I didn't notice anything. Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. I was in awe at the level of service I received. They completely surpassed all my expectations and I will absolutely be going back.
