Dr. Roth has been my ob/gyn for the duration of my pregnancy, and I see her at Boro Park. My experiences have always, ALWAYS been terrible. The wait is absurd (on average, I wait two hours and spend 4 minutes with the actual doctor). The waiting room is a chaotic, loud pit. There are only two bathrooms in the waiting room, with enough seats to house 50 pregnant women (pregnant ladies pee a lot, and they often have children with them, who pee a lot too). The staff is often rude, and the ultrasound technicians won't leave the room after your sono to let you wipe and dress privately, and they're constantly rushing you out. Dr. Roth is the worst. While she seems sweet and nice, her bedside manner is atrocious. Whenever I meet with her, her back is to me, her eyes on her computer screen. The entire time I speak to her, it's to her back. Whenever I ask questions, she tells me to sign up for the portal (the office's online account) and to ask through that. Like, just answer my question! This is my first pregnancy; I'm anxious and scared and have a ton of questions and concerns, and she doesn't seem to care. She/the officeis less than forthcoming with information, like tests and blood work. My first visit, I was only 8 or 9 weeks pregnant and so they couldn't see the baby on the ultrasound. When I finally signed up for the portal and logged into my account, I saw on my care summary sheet of that visit that they had marked me as a "threatened abortion," which I guess means they thought it likely that I would miscarry. No one told me this. I also had a papsmear done, but have no idea of the results. I had my second trimester screening, no one told me the results. It's been six weeks since that happened. I hate this doctor and this office, I feel invisible and unimportant. And the worst part is, the office has a policy that whenever you go into labor, your baby will be delivered by the ON-CALL DOCTOR, NOT NECESSARILY THE DOCTOR YOU'VE BEEN SEEING. It's like, then what's the point of even seeing the same ob/gyn every time? I plan to change doctors/offices as soon as I can.
