I originally liked this doctor but recently had a problem with a refill on my Ambien. He had the refill ready but left a message on my phone to pick up the script at his office. I had to have him paged and explained that I was at work and could not pick up the script and asked why it was not just faxed to the pharmacy. He talked over me in a rude manner and treated me like I was a chronic drug seeker. (I do not take any prescription pain meds). He was unsympathetic to my work schedule and inability to pick up the script and refused to have if faxed. I told him I felt that was a poor attitude; stating I was in the health field myself. I kept trying to explain my situation and he kept talking over me, not caring about my situation. I told him to please listen or I will hang up. He kept up with scolding me because I was supposed to give 48 hours notice; not listening to reason that the script was ready; so I hung up. He called me back and said since I hung up on him he would cancel the prescription. I had already made up my mind to change doctors; but he haughtily said, "You can find a different doctor too." Believe me, Dr. Tiefenbrun, I have every intention of finding a different doctor. I feel you are very full of yourself and would not want a doctor like you anyway.
