I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He not only brings his personal beliefs into his practice, but does not even take the time to find out what has brought the patient to him. I understand there are rules and regulations for doctors to follow, but one would think if a doctor refuses to see you he would at least recommend you to another doctor. My personal experience with Dr. Burghard was a huge let down. I find it very unprofessional for a doctor to treat a patient for over a year knowing they have a very serious condition and then because of one slip up on the patient's part, just leave them hung out to dry. I don't think he has a conscience when it comes to what happens to the patient once he has refused to see them. You would think that being a doctor would include caring about what happens to the patient once they have left your office. To refuse a patient treatment that is necassary and not even find them another doctor leaves one to believe that there is no hope. I am very upset and lost and have no where to turn. I am one to admit when I am wrong and willing to do whatever it takes to turn my wrong into a right. With Dr. Burghard I was not even given the chance. I am now having to deal with my condition all by myself, and it is a very, very scary situation.
