This place was awful! I don't care that I was seen by a PA some of my visits, but I went in to have some moles removed and they did a hack job! I now have ugly scars on my stomach, because they're in such a hurry to get to the next patient they don't care how good of a stitch they do. I will never be able to wear a bikini again without worrying about those stupid scars. So until I finally have a plastic surgeon fix my scars, I will have to deal with what a dermatologist has done to my SKIN! I am a certified surgical tech, So i know that the dr could have done a much better job stitching me up.

Office was clean, staff was nice but more importantly if you are going for the first time please know that your "consultation" is not with a Dr but with one of the front office staff who asks what you are there to see a Dr for then spends time telling you that they will start with the lowest procedure (all of which seem like they need to be continued through the office for an extended amount of time) and work their way up. If you are working this means you most likely are committed to three visits before you can start treatment (for me mild rocesea). It now makes sense to me why they make you sign paperwork that says no refunds and you must pay 50% when you schedule minimum 80% due. So if the chemical peels I told them have been too harsh on my skin in the past don't work (the worker suggested I try it anyway to see) that if I stopped the x amount of sessions I would still be paying 80%. Yeah I think I'll take my chances somewhere that sounds less shady.... oh and there are many dermotologists there only on every other Monday etc.. kind of sounds like a 1 800 dentist for your skin... I pass.

Just a warning, they do not adhere to the customer is always right policy no matter what the situation is. They never listen to customers complaints and argue with them instead of trying to correct the situation. That's just bad business. I don't think they have any qualifications! There definitely wasn't anything displayed.

I really wish I could indicate the lack of quality to this doctor & his complete staff with a negative star rating but since that option is not available, I will use the ONE STAR but with the understanding that I feel he does not rate even a single positive star but a NEGATIVE 10 stars in my opinion.
Firstly...be aware that this doctor does NOT actually DO face peels himself!!!! He delegates your skin...your largest ORGAN...your defense against the world.... into the hands of some hourly wage earner who by her own admission to me...."holds 2 other jobs and was hired 6 mos previous"!!!! She demonstrated/claimed NO EXPERTISE/LICENSING/QUALIFICATIONS whatsoever. He allows his staff...this same gal who moonlights out of necessity into making decisions of what else she's going to do for you "for free" with TCA ACID because she's "nice & feels like it"....that is, a "FREE Back Peel." During that horrific experience this girl and another wage earner she beckoned to help with finishing the job as they were "running out of time" talked non-stop about her problems, her kids, her lot in life when I'm trying to get her to pay attention to what I thought the doctor would be doing.....applying TCA acid to my problem skin areas. She infers "it's up to me to let her know WHEN to neutralize the TCA acid based on my LEVEL OF PAIN". HUH!?! Isn't that what doctors are for...to determine the dispensing of medical treatment and how much...when...and where?
I should have listened to my husband's warning of bad things to come with this office when they kept hem-hawing & changing the appointment times to meet with that demi-god of a doctor's (Tehari) time frame. They even used threats of "unless you come in by 10:30am no, 10:15 he can't see you", after having changed from 1:30pm to 12:30pm then to the earlier time slot. In hindsight....evidently, some others smartened up and cancelled....maybe after taking the time to search out reviews such as this one and on YELP! That was a phone message I listened to 12 times in trying to decipher the garbled message of yet another change uttered by an idiot with marbles in her mouth. That was the RED FLAG that SHOULD have tipped me off to stay away but I let myself get SUCKED in by his smooth website denoting him as "L.A.'s Voted #1 Dermatologist". VOTED #1 by WHOM????? ....his wife, assorted co-horts, children, pets, PAID voters?
Every question I had for the doctor ended up with this employee who deflected each with an attempt to up-sell me into some expensive "Dr. Taheri Brand Cream/Potion/Lotion" to solve the problem or view their website for yet another service. I was there for a face peel with a list of typical areas I wanted addressed.....under eyes, corners of eyes (crow's feet), lines around mouth, wrinkles at top of bridge of nose...typical areas of wrinkling. HE NEVER EXAMINED ANY OF THE SKIN TO BE TREATED!!!! I was wearing a 3/4 sleeved shirt fully buttoned up so, the only skin he glanced at for the few moments he was in the room was my face at 3 feet away! What I got in the way of "treatment" was discovered the next day as the blotchy uneven evidence of TCA manifested itself.....a clear banner of white, untouched skin resembling a raccoon mask around my eyes and a clear banner of rectangular banner of white around mouth for the same reason, I have to presume....as "We don't do chemical peels near eyes" said by the lackey who did the peel. In retrospect, I should be thankful for that omission!!! My neck and chest are a huge source of worry to me as both are blotched, streaked and scorched in an uneven manner and completely untouched in other areas of which I may be thankful for. She, the lackey, ventured into areas of skin never before having been seen by the sun and scorched those areas of sensitive tissue. She left other areas that had evident sun damage totally untreated. I kept telling both women..."look for the brown spots! Look for the brown spots." They seemed oblivious and distracted by the clock for one thing as that doctor was set to blast off out of that office at 12:30 & they weren't done. They were paid additional to do my arms & hands but because the treatment bed is shoved against the wall, the woman, standing at my left, could not reach my right arm so, it went untreated even though I said...."let me change positions".
Regarding payment....I have NEVER been asked by any doctor to PAY UP FRONT PRIOR to any treatment and I have seen enough doctors through my 60 years to state such as FACT. I can understand WHY as following such treatment, a sane person would run out the door! YOU CAN EXPECT TO EMPTY YOUR WALLET AT THE FRONT DESK PRIOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN FILLING OUT THEIR VOLUMINOUS FORMS PROTECTING THEM AGAINST THEIR PATIENTS!!!!! As I recall, there was one sketchy form regarding some aspects of your present health, where you live, who you are, blah, blah, blah. The rest is devoted to a tirade of sorts about postings to the internet, (like I'm doing here) and litigation. When this so-called doctor saw me...he questioned me NOT AT ALL about anything that mattered...not even the reason I was there. he explained NOTHING! It was the first time my visiting any doctor who did not check "vitals"....blood pressure & the like. He promptly left the room whereby the assistant sought the charges then came back escalating the bill from$120 to $800 "which is only $680 more" said she but without a break-down of how much for what. And then "plus any creams I might want to add". Do these people work on commission???? I was concerned about a small colorless mole on the side of my nose asking if the TCA would slough it off. Taheri came back in and stated...."benign papilla" THAT, dear readers, was the ONLY bit of medical assessment, information, diagnosis received from Tehari. He left NEVER to be seen by me again. And into the hands of these wanna-be assistants I fell.
The next day, with growing concerns and the sobering realization I'd been taken to the cleaners, I called the office demanding an explanation WHY the doctor didn't do this procedure that proved incomplete & blotched owing to the white, untouched areas of face, neck, chest, arms when it was admitted by the woman that "the other girl didn't finish her job on my left arm and that they were hired to do face peels and that the doctor didn't do such".
I asked her how $800 was divided up between face, neck, chest, arms knowing I had been quoted $120 for face and considering that not all had been completed. I asked her to have the doctor call me. She said she would amidst much apology (I give her that as she seemed sincere).
The next morning Tehari calls at 7:30am w/apology he "hoped it wasn't too early" then got right into it asking with a change of tenor "what my problem was?" I stated my case then the YELLING began on his part. I asked him to quit yelling and let me list out to him my complaints notably that a procedure using TCA should only be used by qualified persons....doctors not so-called assistants & that I paid $800 expecting a chemical peel from a doctor not some hourly wage girl. He went BALLISTIC!!!!! He declared that I "got a $4,000.00 peel for $800.00!" ....unhuh. Why stop with $4,000.00, doc? Why not reach for the stars and really stretch the bull?!? What I'm afraid of is that it could COST me $4,000.00 to FIX what he let his assistants do to my skin, though time will tell. I also managed to get in between his filibustering tactics that WHY was such a procedure turned over to an assistant having questionable training or none at all and he had the AUDACITY to LIE and state that he "was in the room the whole time". Readers, he was NOT in the small 8' X 10' room at ANY time the chemical was being put on my body and I told him so stating one of 2 things..."you have me totally confused with someone else or YOU WERE HIDING UNDER THE BED as YOU WERE NOT IN THE TREATMENT ROOM!!!!" His bold faced LIE absolutely jerked the rug from under me as that is an ETHICS violation on his part according to the www.mbc.ca.gov website for medical MALPRACTICE and you can be sure I will follow through on that action!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He stated he "has done 50,000 peels" and my reply was "Well, NOT on ME as you were NOT in that room and applied NOTHING to my skin but you were seen leaving the building and walking across the parking lot by my husband". That call by him came to an abrupt end after I told him that I WILL NOT let him or anyone else in his office touch my skin when he suggested that I come back in for a MEDIUM peel that I had ONLY been given a LIGHT peel". .....A LIGHT PEEL!!!???!!! for $800.00???? My skin is SCORCHED in a blotched, streaked, worrisome manner! And YES, Readers, I'm STUPID after the fact! Hindsight is your BEST sight! PLEASE read this with the plea intended to save yourself from this outfit. Find a REAL PHYSICIAN!!! One who is proud of his craft, who doesn't BREAK the LAW by delegating to a wage earner to PRACTICE MEDICINE WITHOUT A LICENSE!!! ...which is another violation on the www.mbc.ca.gov website
Oh, and don't expect to find PROFESSIONAL CARDS bearing his name in his Murrieta office as there are none. Nor will you get a professional receipt bearing his name with those procedures done checked off. No, you'll get a little cash register receipt like you'd get from JACK-IN-THE-BOX with the amount printed on it. No, actually...you'll get 2 such receipts...the first one when you enter for $120 followed by the 2nd once they get you in the treatment room & hit you with the add-ons!
This guy needs to be shut down before he harms more trusting folks out there. Again...I plead with all who consider this doctor.....run with your skin intact before he skins you!!!!!!!
