I love her and have been there probably 20 plus times over the years. She is consistently overbooked and there is usually a very long wait. Her receptionists are always friendly but the nurse barely speaks she also wear s a heavy mask of makeup that is worrisome. Dr. Gawey is friendly, kind, and always writes the instructions down which I appreciate and she always has a basket of samples.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Gawey to anyone. I was a patient of hers for several years in high school to treat my acne. Dr. Gawey overbooks her appointments and always seems to be in a rush. I was prescribed antibiotics for many years and she NEVER explained the negative affects antibiotics can have on your digestive system and skin if taken for an extended period of time. At the time, I was very trusting and impressionable and trusted that she was making the right decisions for my health. She never explained to me that you can't quit antibiotics cold turkey, and that you have to ween off, which I believe is her responsibility as a doctor to inform patients of this so they don't make the mistake of quitting cold turkey, which I did, once my acne healed. My skin had a TERRIBLE reaction to quitting and I was left with massive cysts covering my entire forehead, not only causing permanent tissue damage, but damage to my self-esteem. I avoided talking to people at all costs so they would not be tempted to look at my forehead. It took months for the cysts to heal and a year of consecutive chemical peals to improve the scarring. In my opinion, Dr. Gawey does not have her patients well-being in mind and is more focused on squeezing as many patients into one day as she can and giving quick solutions to treating acne, not taking into account other, more holistic methods to treat and heal acne.

The wait wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best
